another variable could be that the zone shrunk over the last week for our pitchers. they were getting the calls on the corners a couple weeks back now the seem to have to get a lot more of the plate. and its feast or famine. strikes that are called balls and strikes that are getting too much of the plate.

That series with Tampa was brutal with the umpires, but I'm not seeing that with this crew. Alek was just missing badly the first few innings today.
