Grewe said he had tested negative ten times via his team the last month leading up to him testing positive so I think it's just bad luck. Wallinder plays for Modo which had a major breakout this week and so on. The SHL/Allsvenskan teams test frequently.

Question is. Will Canada even allow us to travel? Sweden is a big red zone right now when it comes to spreading of the virus.

Right now they have 4 goalies, 11 defense and 17 forwards, so they'll have to cut a few more still.
Without any more positive tests, I believe they'd cut 1 goalie, 3 defense and 3 forwards probably.

He at least has coaching experience. NHL assistant for years and now head coach of an NCAA team.
I'd guess he's the new head coach, Joel Ronnmark is the only other one on the staff with coaching experience (head coach of a Swedish U18 team)

That would be unfortunate. I want to see a Swedish team in this tournament. Not gonna lie though, players dropping off in a seemingly random fashion adds some excitement.

Players we still can afford to lose include one of Gunler and Nybeck, Söderblom and Andrae plus a goalie imo. But we rather keep them!

And if we can bring Eklund into the equation, I'm thinking Tomas Bodström here.

Montén, the first Covid proof coach! (Both well and on a secure location, Skyping or something).

Imagine the feeling of confidence and security our defense (including goalies) might bring!

Players testing positive is one thing, they gotta play for their club until you gather, meaning a risk to catch covid. You can tell them to be cautious, but it's the price you have to pay.

No real excuse for coaches though. They could've quarantined a long time ago.
