Laval Rocket home games will all be broadcast on local French TV. Excited about that, even if I signed up for AHLTV.

With Julien and Muller fired by the Habs, Alex Burrows (assistant coach in Laval the last two years) has been promoted to be assistant coach in Montreal, joining Ducharme's staff.

The Wolves and Silver Knights tied for top in the league. Now the Wolves are a stacked multi-org team but the Silver Knights are a single org (I think). From my eye test both belong at the top...

Considering Chicago has a +21 differential after 9 games I would think they belong there.

For sure but they have two NHL teams of prospects whereas the Silver Knights is winning with lesser knowns. I do think Vegas has some underrated prospects.

HSK is like any franchise.... give them time to settle in to the Vegas/Henderson market, it won't be like Vegas' inaugural season where you went from almost total unknown to almost a championship in 1 full season... it rarely happens in the history of the AHL, WHERE an expansion team/new market dominates the League, for not one but multiple seasons.

Umm...you are aware of where those "lessor" knowns came from right? And is the term "lessor knowns" really appropriate when scouting and fan information is really at the fingertips of just about everyone who follows the sport? It's not like the 70's and 80's or before where you literally had players in other countries or leagues that there was no info on and that never were scouted. Now days everyone is known for the most part, you don't get a contract without being known.

The Wolves have a bunch of 1st rounders and top scorers from previous seasons (Geekie and Joey Keane). That's what I mean lessor knowns because the Silver Knights players are almost all youngsters/rookies except Jurco, Gage Quinney, and Ryan Murphy (the only three major names I recognize).

ALL organizations have different philosophies toward prospect development, tbth..... Carolina just has prospects that have gelled in Charlotte, and then when the affiliation changed over to Chicago.....

HSK was a different organization/affiliate than Vegas because it was a Blues and before Colorado promoted the Eagles from the ECHL AN Avalanche affiliate, voxel.

And technically the Wolves are a Predators/Hurricanes affiliate this season. Being so stacked it doesn't surprise me they are 8-1. The Knights don't have the same number of 1st rounders.

technically, Nashville's only there because the AHL requires all NHL Teams must be represented in that league.... same for the Blues in Utica, and why Florida is sharing Syracuse with Tampa.

the three that opted out are private ownerships, not owned/operated by the NHL Club...

Would it shock you to find out that 13 of the 26 currently rostered players for Henderson played for the Chicago Wolves in the AHL last year? Would it shock you even more to know that of the remaining 13 not named Jurco,Quinney or Murphy that 3 of those guys are players that have been playing pro hockey for years and since 2015 in one case (Carl Dahlstom) Or that of those remaining that only 4 of them are NOT Vegas draft picks? Just because YOU don't know who they are doesn't mean they are lessor knowns. Now lets go to the Wolves and your comment about a bunch of 1st rders and top scorers...The Wolves have 4 1st rders assigned to them right now...ALL rookies...of those 1 ( Phil Tomasino) is NOT a Carolina player. Of the remaining 3...only Seth Jarvis would not be here in a normal season. BTW Morgan Geekie is already back with Carolina and has been for over a week so...not sure when or if you did any research on this...I can ONLY IMAGINE the whining and crying you would be doing if the Wolves had been assigned the 2 goaltenders that they originally were supposed to get in Kaskisuo and Ned...the fact that they are winning like they are with a threesome in net that goes Undrafted...5th Rd...6th Rd...should scare you and before you say oh well they have a bunch of stars on D...their D goes like this...3rd,4th,5th,undrafted,undrafted,7th,7th,3rd,3rd, so yeah...if you were drafted in those spots...not likely you are a star.

Edit...Jarvis was just sent back to Portland to begin the WHL season today

Another week, another firing in Montreal. Last night, Habs fired goalie coach Stephane Waite. They appointed Sean Burke to replace him, but since Burke lives in the States, he will have to quarantine for 14 days. As a result, Montreal brought up Laval's goalie coach Marco Marciano to be goalie coach in Montreal. When Burke's quarantine ends on the 19th, Marciano will return to Laval.

While Habs wait for Sean Burke to complete his quarantine, Laval goalie and video coach Marco Marciano is in Montreal on an interim basis.

And as a result of that, Laval hired Maxime Vaillancourt as interim goalie and video coach.

Joel Bouchard's connection with Blainville in the Q.
