Constantino says Powers should be in the NHL for 2021-22 season and playing on the first pairing...what is wrong with this guy...knowing Buffalo they will draft him & turn him Pro...which is Stupid...as a result Powers becomes a bottom pairing in a few years when his confidence is shot from playing on a sad sack organization that are a far far cry from the French Connection and 1975 Stanley Cup Finalists, losing in 6 games

Kings should trade up to #2 with Seattle. We have pieces + #8 for Seattle to build around. We need a huge D man like Hughes or Powers.

Yea there’s really no excuse not to be aggressive if the player you want is there. It takes a willing team though.

Very boring presentation for a draft lottery.

Production from ESPN/TNT should change up the presentation, have someone else announce it other than Bill Daly. I almost fell asleep when he was announcing the picks and then having the host repeat what just transpired, add a meaningless tidbit. Rinse. Repeat.

If all the D are off the board, I'm very in on Mctavish or Guenther. Wouldn't mind if we reached for Lambos either assuming he's healthy.

Anyone have any idea what position the 7 teams ahead of us might prioritize? Lol
1. Buffalo is probably taking Powers
2. Seattle: Depends on how the expansion draft goes, but I assume they take Beniers as their future center
3. Anaheim: ???, but probably not taking a goalie
4. NJ: Top Tier Dman
5. Columbus: ???, but there are some connections (Jarmo Kekäläinen is GM) with Aatu Raty. May be a stretch though.
6. Detriot: ???
7. SJ: Probably looking for top tier forward talent
8. LA: Top Tier D.

Someone feel free to fill in the blanks or make a change.

Ducks top 3 pick

Possible Hughes\Power - Drysdale OR
Berniers\Zegras

enjoy :(

I think Power goes #1, so probably scratch him off. But yeah, the Ducks hitting a homerun with this pick for the 3rd straight draft would be pretty tough to handle. Zegras and Beniers up the middle is a nice start, that is the ideal type of role for Beniers to play in the NHL. The Ducks will probably be pretty bad again next season so the worry here is they get another top 1-5 pick next season and start to build something like Colorado has.

Power will not be playing 1st pair in the NHL next season, no chance. They might sign him and he might even play in the league, but he won't be a 1st pairing defender. The evidence is tough to ignore with how much better guys develop with the 2nd year as opposed to leaving early. But with the #1 pick it's tough to not have him in the league, while it is clearly better to have players play two years, the last time a #1 pick didn't play in the NHL in his D+1 was Erik Johnson 15 years ago.

Jarmo passed on Puljujarvi who seemed like a slam dunk at #3 in 2016, Raty's stock seems to be plummeting out of the top 15 at this point. Just the way it lines up, I could see Dylan Guenther being there for the Kings if Columbus/Detroit opt for other positions.

1. Buffalo - Owen Power
2. Seattle - Matt Beniers or Brandt Clarke
3. Anaheim - Matt Beniers, Dylan Guenther, or Simon Edvinsson
4. New Jersey - Brandt Clarke or Luke Hughes
5. Columbus - Maybe Edvinsson in light of Seth Jones with one foot out the door and Werenski perhaps not far behind
6. Detroit - William Eklund or Kent Johnson if the D is off the board
7. San Jose - Eklund/Johnson or perhaps reach for a center like McTavish

I disagree, it was quick and to the point. I much prefer this format to anything potentially longer or with meaningless theatrics.
