So I take back my saying from yesterday because when Blake really wants to trade up to get a player he seems to trade up.

Which makes me think what did those teams want when they tried to move and get Wallstedt? Do you think since it was St. Louis, Nashville and Winnipeg, 3 western conference teams they didn’t want to help LA get a potential franchise goalie with the prospects they’ve been stock piling? Goalie and LHD are really the only thing the Kings are missing prospect wise.

Probably reading too much into it.

Live look at Blake and Yannetti leaving the draft early while only in the 3rd round...

4 guys and that’s a wrap. Guess it went well, though likely won’t know for a few years.
2 defensemen, 1 RHD 1 LHD
2 forwards including a basketball player

Curious how the rest of the off-season unfolds.

One common thread I'm seeing with our 4 picks is that they all played games in Europe this year. Looks like they went into the draft going with guys that they felt confident in their scouting. Also have to admire the confidence in trading up 3 times out of our 4 picks. I would call this not an exciting draft, but an efficient draft for the Kings. Already have a stacked prospect pool, don't need to water it down even further and than over populate it when its not necessary.

I just don't think any of them wanted to move down to 49.

With zero picks left, it's a low chance the Kings trade to get back into the draft. I told Hoven I'm taking a nap. Was up till 5:30 AM preparing content for today. Talk to you all soon!

Like Chicago’s selection of Ethan Del Mastro. Big boy and plays a pretty sound game. Impressed with what I saw from him at the U18 championship recently in Frisco TX.

Plays in the OHL - Mississauga.

Yeah, now I can't sleep lol.

I appreciate all your work you have done on the draft and all of your write-ups. Kudos to All the Kings Men and Frozen Royalty too...and Zach and Hoven...Bernstein.
Great times ahead for the Kings and their fans. Future is bright and the PRESENT is bright as well....as we see more and more of the
youth step in and become a big part of this team, this year and the next year...and next year. It's coming in waves...and not the kind
Iafallo and Blake catch. Tastier waves than those...

Get some well deserved rest.

Kind of shocked that Dylan Duke lasted until 126. That seems like a pretty huge fall for someone who might've gone early second. Of course Tampa takes him though. He'll be on the roster in no time doing his best Brayden Point impression.

Well, we’re at the part of the draft where I pretty much know absolutely nothing about a majority of the players unless they are from the OHL.

Thought the Kings did very well, especially value wise. We already are flooded with prospects in the system, both signed and unsigned. Good use of picks to combine to move down to get the players they liked. I suspect once again the pundits will give the Kings an "A-" grade or better, especially the value of where the players were chosen.
