They’ll trade him for Shea Weber’s LTIR contract when his ELC is up.and there Guenther goes. He's gonna be a good one for Arizona

You should know by now that the Kings are allergic to drafting wingers with great hands and feet.
Wtf Ottawa. Boucher? Wasn’t he projected second round hahaha
There were rankings that had him at #2.

And here I was thinking the kings could get him second round…
Kind of funny how this all shakes down. About 3 weeks ago if we would have been told we'd get Brandt Clarke lots of folks would be jumping for joy. But today now people are less enthused. Which is funny because absolutely nothing has changed in the last 3 weeks. Just goes to show you how things change quickly in the moment.

They did make the selection with 3 mins left on the clock. They were either locked into D or were thrilled to see him fall. Either way, they got their guyPretty bare at wing after Arty so Guenther would have also filled a need. Also drafted an offensive defenseman in Grans last year. I would have taken Guenther but I know nothing.
Seems like they were going to take defense regardless. Not sure they went BPA on their board but we'll see how this plays out.
I’m thrilled, lots of guys I really like had him at 2-3, definitely satisfies the offensive dman need even if it’s the wrong handedness and his ‘problem’ is the most fixable of all skills, and was definitely arguably BPA.
I know a few guys are miffed because they wanted a winger but it’s not like defense was stacked, particularly OFD.
