I like that trade for both teams. Vancouver moves garbage cap for two players that should help, especially Garland who is a feisty, Gallagher-esque type forward, which Canucks can definitely use.

They'll move Schmidt now and clear a bit more cap.

They're a playoff team next year.

For Arizona, they get out from OEL's long term contract since he won't be a part of their rebuild. They get the 1st they need this year and 5 second round picks secured in 2022! Damn!
