My only prediction is that a player many draftists don't like will turn out to be the best player.
So Power or Guenther

2nd for Baertschi
2nd for Vey
2nd for Sutter
2nd for Toffoli
3rd for Dorset
3rd for Pedan
3rd in Kesler deal
So by your definition, several.
In 7 Benning era drafts, the Canucks have had 5 second rounders and 6 3rd rounders. In actuality they gave up 3 total, not 6.
So there’s a kid on The Canadian U18 team named Stankoven?
Yeesh.
He's a BC boy too. Could be a solid 3rd line centre one day in the future, but he has 1st round talent so he'll have to drop to the 2nd or 3rd.So there’s a kid on The Canadian U18 team named Stankoven?

I have a feeling we’ll select Corson Ceulemans

If we are going for Ceulemons or Morrow I really hope Benning does trade to around 15. If we are the fifth pick, and do trade to 15 I wonder what kind of value that returns? A second?Wouldn't mind trading down for him.
He does seem like a perfect fit to start down the lineup and move up. I want more puck pursuit wingers on this team. The thing I like about Eklund besides his offensive abilities is that he is a puck pursuit guy and good in his own end. Can't have too many these guys. And if we do trade Miller, this guy would be a good replacement at LW, or conversely, if we draft him, an older valuable player like Miller becomes expendable.
I'm no expert but based on what I've read my list for the Nucks would go something like:
1) Clarke
2) Powers
3) Hughes
4) Beniers
5) Eklund
6) Guenther
7) Lambos
7) Edvinsson
8) Johnson
9) Ceulemans
10) Lysell
This list probably has Lambos much higher than others, so if we aren't top 5 it would make sense to move back some spots to get him.
Edvinsson had a good game against Canada even though Sweden lost. You can tell his strength is defensive IQ, his size and skating makes him impossible for his peers to get around him. He's not creative or much of a playmaker, but Edvinsson could play beside Nate Schmidt next season. It's like watching a more mobile, taller, stronger Edler.
I need to see as many games of Edvinsson. He plays against Finland for bronze.
Hope we draft Clarke. Can't wait to see him watch Myers on PP2 from the Bench!
I don't really feel qualified as it is only on the basis of what I've read. There was a thread on the Prospects Forum doing this but I could not find it. Anyway, FWIW, here are some names I've read:Who are NHL players you would compare these draft prospects to?
