Would love Guenther but I don’t believe there is any chance he falls to 11.

Johnson or McTavish would be good gets as well but touch and go as to whether or not they will be on the board when the Hawks pick as well.

I still hope Hawks would pick Matthew Coronato. He is the player this team needs. Addition goal, point scoring to the wing.
He is the best, by far, goal scorer in this draft.

Don't agree.

I think Lucius has him beat and Sillinger is in the conversation too.

Also just in terms of shooting, I think Robertsson has a better shot.

7. Dylan Guenther
8. Simon Edvinsson
9. Jesper Wallstedt
10. Mason McTavish
11. Fabian Lysell
12. Fyodor Svechkov
13. Chaz Lucius
14. Carson Lambos
15. Cole Sillinger
16. Francisco Pinelli
17. Nikita Chibrikov
18. Matthew Coronato
19. Isak Rosen
20. Xavier Bourgault
21. Oscar Olausson
22. Corson Ceulemans
23. Aatu Raty

I'm trying to make it through one round but running out of time. Seen Robertsson, Othman, Chayka, Svozil, Morrow, Bolduc, Kirasanov, and others but have not intelligently sorted them out.

I really don't know how Musto does this shit. For me, it's a one off.

Coronato 5'9
Kane 5'10
DeBrinat 5'9

Hagel 5'11
Suter 5'11
Boqvist 5'11
Mitchell 5'11
Beaudin 5'11

Good luck getting inside in the playoffs. I like Coronato too, but if he is in your top 6 then you have three players under 6 foot in that group.

Actually, before the darts start flying, I will argue against myself on this one. Tampa had 8 of their top 12 F's 6'0 and under. So, it can be done with the right system, coach, d-core, and goalie. Bring on Coronato.

I would take Sillinger, McTavish, Wallstedt, Cossa or trade down and take Svechkov, Ceulmans or Lucius.

a Marchand comp was tossed out on the hawks talk podcast with Mark Kelley for Coronato so it doesn't sound like his size would be an issue as far as play style in the playoffs...and Cat plays way bigger than his size which is really what matters...you have a point with the defense group but that can be altered around and looks likely to be changed this summer...they can't have boqvist, beaudin, kalynuk, mitchell etc all in a group and expect to survive multiple rounds in the playoffs as those players currently project right now

He might be short or what ever, but he is stocky and he is physical.
Besides, he is 5 foot 10, not 5 foot 9 and DeBrincat is 5 foot 7.

I don't think you use the 11th pick on Coronato. I still think they will trade back for assets----I don't consider this year to be front loaded at all and I see some really interesting picks in the 30's and 40's that may not be all that different than guys going in the early teens.

Definitely shouldn't take Coronato at 11.

I'm okay doing anything with the pick, unless it's trading for Jones.

We can trade up and get Johnson, stay put and pick Wallstedt/Lysell, or trade down for more assets.

For those familiar with Scouching, he put up his final ranking show

He broke ~25 players down into four tiers, starting from worst to best. Definitely has some different takes from what may be considered the more conventional.
~8:30 Tier 4 - great mishmash
~19:00 Tier3 - possible core
~22:00 Tier2 - core with potential
~28:00 Tier1 - significant core pieces (includes Wallstedt)

Lucuis pretty high, isn't his skating a ?
I really hope Edvinsson goes that high, let's a better player fall to us.
Based on what Scouching said, Lucius substandard skating this year may have been due to him still recovering from a knee injury. Whether you believe his skating is truly poor or he was recovering from injury may be why you'll see his name sometime in the 20's and other times near the top 10.

You could get Cornato with 11 and hopefully get Mackie Sam in the second and isn't he a very similar player to Lysell. I'm ok with Wally if he's at 11.

Chobrikov shoukd be higher ranked than Svechkov....NHK Central scouting has this correct.

Svechkov is safe...certain But has inlyvaxchevking C =3C ceiling....nothibg wrong with tgat but youvdo not take a Danault ahead of a Marchand-Point 1 orc impact winger.

Lysell should be ranked after Rosen who is not scred of physical pkay agaibst hom like Lysell . Rosen of course needscto putbon weight and muscle but he will impact greater than a scared Lysell ever will.

Coronato is a multi-facted bunflevofvtalent..but you will need to wait 4 more seasons goibg to Harvard...I doubt Stan is willing to wait tgat long .

If Guenther or Edvinssom falk to #11= avoid!
Guenther is only a complimentary winger...needs talent to get hom the puck...he cannot carry pkay homself.

Edvinsoon is a turnover machine...I doubt hos por puck management will be fixed..

Nest choice for Hawks is to take Cossa or Walkstedtvifvthere=BPAs with highest impact potential as difference-majers..

If not left on the board...then take Chibrikov or Rosen.

Rosen is behinfbin development because he was so underweight at u18s.. still shoed no fear to battle and take it to the net but needs more muscle to win more pucksand not get physically over-matched..He isca greatcskater and hisx1 timer is Ovecjkin-like except from the right side.

Still I would take Chibrikov...dynamic speed and puck control...ferocious forechrvk...very goid shot rekeasedxatcsoeed
.gives dmen fits...best transition player in drFt..He would become best Hawks pkayer to carry pucks into o'zobeveith ease. S i said...a combo of Marchand and Point .

If scoutsccoukd notvsee alk thatvat u18s they shoukd no longer be employed.

According to Bob's rankings we really could have Wallstedt, Morrow, and Kirsanov with our first 3 picks. Incredible.
