Well, I believe Slovakia will win against Sweden and later on Finland in the semis. In the final everything can happen.

Regarding Finland, even if I don't think we are as good as the Slovaks I wouldn't count us off in a final against Russia. If that happens that is. Because in the 5-2 loss, Russia scored two goals in a open net. Russia would be big favorites and Finland would have everything to win.

Well darn, I was right. This team Slovakia is the best team in this tournament and I actually prefer their elite talent before Russias.
I would pick Dvorsky before Michkov everyday. Then you have Nemec, Strbak, Slafkovsky, Mesar, Ciernik,

For Finlands sake, please Sweden win this.

These 2004-2005 will be a needed golden generation for Slovakia. Good for you in future olympics and good for hockey in general!

Imagine if Czech and Slovakia were Czechoslovakia, you would be favorites for the gold together with Finland in next years WJC-20`s.

Yes, I’m Slovak and I will say that Russians are still better there, they have the depth we don’t. Although Michkov and Dvorsky are close, we don’t have the Russian depth on defense that you guys do. Still nice that slovaks are getting some recognition now.

Okay, so Slovakia will have Latkoczy in the net at next years WJC-20´s as well.
You guys will have: Knazko, Nemec, Slafkovsky, Dvorsky, Mesar, Kaslik, Chromiak, Becar, Ciernik, Jedlicka, Myklukha, Stacha, Petrovicky, Krajc, Kolenic, Faith, perhaps Strbak.

Probably the best u-20 roster Slovakia ever had and it could be even better the year after that as well!? Wow!

I think Molnar and possibly Repcik as well are making a statement too for a roster spot.

Okay, so it will be Slovakia playing in the final against the winner in a great semifinal between the Swedes and Russians. Exciting.
 
Top3 picks in 2023 years draft are going to be impact players all of them. Especially Bedard and Dvorsky.
I actually have Bedard and Dvorsky before Michkov right now.
Dvorsky is very well rounded, skilled and has size.
Michkov is great and all, but I do think he plays for himself at times and I´m not as sure that his game will translate as good against pros. But then again, take this with a pinch of salt because he's hella talented and there is a lot of time for things to change.

This years draft was very weak when it comes to elite talent, at least compared to these two following years with Wright, Lambert, Kemell, Michkov, Dvorsky, Bedard, Nemec, Salomonsson, Slafkovsky etc.

The problem is Team Russia isn't just one line. All 4 lines are legit and can score. And it's very hard to stop Michkov. He doesn't look impressive at the tournament and still scores at will.

Bedard and Michkov are 2 best prospects for that draft. Maybe only some injury or some off the ice incident (like Mitchell Miller) can change that. But Dvorsky is definitely fighting for that no.3 spot.
