i mean unless ur a season ticket holder it aint hard to invest in a shitty product. i find it pretty easy to not care about one of my teams when they suck ass.

I usually stop watching the Mets when football season starts, stop watching the Jets when hockey season starts, and stop watching the Rangers after New Years.

I haven’t watched the Knicks since Allan Houston.

You could get all the toys in the world you still have Daniel Jones feeding them. He’s not an NFL QB. He can’t be trusted. Been saying it and saying it and until we get a new QB we aren’t in any conversation that involves being a winning team

Garrett is a bigger problem than Jones. Jones looked infinitely better his rookie year. That said Garrett is much easier to replace.

Jones teased us and looked good his first few games. He's looked like the exact same player ever since. Garrett stinks but Jones has shown zero growth in 3 years. He stinks.

Not true at all. He had 4 games with 300+ yards and 4+ TDs (one of those were 2 rushing/2 passing). He had one of his best games as late as the Chase Young game which was the second to last game of the season. Even his bad games that year were mostly better than games the last two seasons. Shurmur played to his strengths, Garrett thinks he has Tom Brady. Everything is short with Garrett and that's not Jones's strength.

Glad the Giants never drafted Sam Darnold and now have Barkley and Jones

lol, every year is a continuation of the previous seasons.

Daniel Jones averaged 6.6 YPA each season. The Giants are 6-2 when he exceeds 7 YPA in a game and 2-17 when he doesn't.

That's surprising but somehow he was putting up better stats and looking like a QB under Shurmur. All 4 games have been better than anything he's shown last season and today.

Fair enough, I do think you're right. I guess factoring Garrett's involvement it's basically been like trying to get a guy to progress as a player with both hands tied behind his back. Idk, I've just been pretty down on Jones for a while.

Although I do think that even if the play calling isn't doing Jones any favors at all and is most likely holding him back if anything, it's not Garrett's fault that Jones still stares down his receivers too often and fumbles the ball like his hands are slicked in grease. Those are two things he absolutely should've shown some growth in.

He absolutely has things he needs to work on, and maybe he'll never improve it. But he also has strengths and it doesn't seem like Garrett is taking advantage of them. Also, seems like he doesn't know how to use Barkley, but maybe he wasn't ready.

Here's a hot take.

If I'm the Giants, I'd trade Jones, the lower of the two 1st rounders this season, and a couple of mid round picks for Watson if he's exonerated from his legal accusations.

Daniel Jones is not the answer. Gettleman should be fired for three AWFUL top 6 picks in a row, even if this most recent draft gives the Giants a player or two.

If Watson is exonerated you're going to need a lot more than that.

Are you already writing Thomas off?

I bet you would haha. Fully exonerated and costing half of Jamal Adams value when he also needed to be paid? Being exonerated even removes risk.

You never see Jones look off the D. It's always "Jones looks left, throws left" or "Looks right...throws right". You'd think by year 3 he'd have the awareness to be able to feel the pressure while simultaneously reading more than 1 receiver at a time. Or maybe, based on the pre-snap D look, stare down the wrong receiver on purpose while planning to throw to the other guy the whole time.

I heard complaints how Jones wasn't protecting the ball on his fumble. WRONG. It's worse than that. He gripped it with 2 hands, anticipating being hit and beginning to fall forward to the ground before he got hit and it STILL came out. Looks like he never got his top hand around the ball to secure it, such poor form for a guy who had 2 years to learn from his mistakes.

Barkley was breaking tackles his rookie year. Making something of nothing. What happened to that? It's gone. He looks for a clean break or doubles back into the heart of the D and then just braces himself for the hit.

Daniel Jones would be the best QB that the Jets have had since Pennington. Maybe other than one year of Fitzpatrick.

I get what you're saying my friend and Jets QB history is obviously abysmal but let's not go that far. Agree with Fitzy's '15 season as it was insane but no question I'd take Sanchez's first two years even as a game manager type, over anything Jones has done!

Perhaps, but how long is Houston ownership ok with paying him to sit on the bench and do nothing?

Yes. He stinks. Didn't like the pick at the time, wanted to trade down. Wanted Wirfs or Becton.

Slept on it, went through some highlights and I’m happy with what Wilson did. he got zero help from his team. The line was terrible. Lots of drops from the receivers.

First half was a total disaster. Second half was much better - outscored then 14-3 in the 2nd. After getting punched in the mouth repeatedly all first half.

I will give them all credit that they clearly made some half time adjustments. They gave him more time, they ran plays to get him going.

16-0 last year at the half would have ended 30-0.
