If club exposes him it’s bc they value Krug way more. I’d probably expose Krug personally bc I dont think kraken would take him and if they did we get lots of cap space. So was literally all of our Defensemen not named Faulk, and unlike Krug he’s not on a potential albatross of a contract unlike Krug. And if we are exposing Tank as some sort of move to try to tempt them away from Dunn when we could just protect Dunn instead and let them take there pick of the iffy contracts.
If this is a “we can’t move Tarasenko without giving more then we are adding” thing, cool, but I don’t buy this as a “maybe they won’t take Dunn” move because there’s an easier solution in front of us.
This team is in win now mode, and Krug helps the team win now more than Dunn does. The goal is to knock Krug down to the 2nd pairing so our top 4 looks like this:I view Dunn can easily be Krug in few years or even better. I'm high on Walman too.
Krug should be exposed instead of Dunn.
He put up 30+ points as a 3D.Based on what? He is nearly 25 and has never shown that level of offensive acumen?
And not like team cut him. Guys we would protect instead are quite good.
No. He doesn’t have a NMC, only can block trades. If Tarasenko is take by Seattle, can Tarasenko deny he will go there?
Army has said between lines at press Krug will be protected. This team is in win now mode, and Krug helps the team win now more than Dunn does. The goal is to knock Krug down to the 2nd pairing so our top 4 looks like this:
X - Pietrangelo
Krug - Faulk
I'd say there is a 90% chance Krug is protected.
He can retire, thats about it.If Tarasenko is take by Seattle, can Tarasenko deny he will go there?
They aren’t releasing the lists till tomorrow apparently, and there will be no trades today.
What I mean is that the goal is to be a Cup contender now and in the near future. We have too many key players that are 28-34 years old.Army has said between lines at press Krug will be protected.
And no we arent win mode. We are bubble team currently.
+1.Personally I'm not upset about anything yet since there's so much we as fans are in the dark about. Seattle probably still takes Dunn and the Blues trade Tarasenko sometime before the season starts. So many moving pieces and considerations this offseason that it's tough for me to be in a place to judge until the dust settles.
+1.
I'm just sad we didnt trade away Bozak, Hoffman. Trade at least their rights now.
Seattle takes Dunn. Blues trade Tarasenko for a forward prospect and a draft choice (we'll feel cheated by that trade). We'll feel better when Blues use savings from Tarasenko's salary to sign Landeskog.Personally I'm not upset about anything yet since there's so much we as fans are in the dark about. Well that ship has sailed. What I mean is that the goal is to be a Cup contender now and in the near future. We have too many key players that are 28-34 years old.

After Pietro out and acquire Krug and Faulk anchor contracts our d-core is so weak now. Parayko cant carry both of them. Faulk played better, but his first 25 games were 'hot hot' and then he cooled down, playing his normal level.
And I was right.
When schedule came tougher Faulk's game went south.
Still ppl dont recognize it here. Makes me sick.
We arent Cup contenders. We are Cup pretenders.
Yet again I'm alone with this thought.
We will see next season where we are at. I view how our team is build we fight last Wild card spot in our div.
Bubble team.
I also didn’t get the criticism for Faulk.our D would have looked much better with a healthy Parayko.
Whether you think we can contend for a Cup or not is irrelevant. Whether you like it or not, we are trying to win now.Well that ship has sailed.

How Army play his cards it makes it sooner us re-build mode.Whether you think we can contend for a Cup or not is irrelevant. Whether you like it or not, we are trying to win now.
Colt is a 28 year old 6’6 defensemen with a nagging back thing and a game that depends on speed, who hasn’t performed like a top flight shutdown player in 2 seasons.our D would have looked much better with a healthy Parayko.

There is a pretty good chance what we saw late last year is “a healthy Parayko” going forward.
