I bet Jones becomes better than Miller in the long run. I see a lot of Staal in Miller.. With Schneider Robertson and Lundkvist I’d send Miller in a trade for a young center with a future here after the Rangers know what they got with Schneider Robertson and Lundkvist .
Staal before he got hit in the eye was a good defenseman. People mistakely use "Staal" as a limiting factor. That was the Staal of his later years.

I still don't understand the Jones hype ... I'd be pretty bummed out if he was our #1 defensive prospect.

well he was a 3rd rounder thats dominated his competition so what’s not to like ?
Yea he’s smaller but he brings a different element than Roberson and Schneider . Let them play in the AHL this year . That’s if Lundkvist is for real

Sorry I missed the Barron talk Tuesday. I didn't get to watch last year because I don't have AHL.tv but based on my 3 years of watching him I think @Edge had it right when he says Kevin Hayes lite. Barron's a lot more offensively gifted than I thought based on his freshman year, but he's still probably not skilled enough to be in a good team's top 6. I do think he's a bit less passenger than many people here do, due to a high hockey IQ and a very good competitive edge. I'd love to see him on the Rangers this year, but he probably needs more work at center, and I would imagine he would be one of the first callups if he starts in Hartford.

Future Captain

and i am Barron hypester. Suped up Matteau

We play the philly kids tomorrow and Sunday? Anyone know what time and where itll be streamed. I heard only the game in philly will be streamed but idk where.

I think our left side d is pretty much picked for the foreseeable future imo
Miller, Lindgren, Robertson
The right side still has that question mark over it basically because we have Trouba signed long term. I like both Schneider and Lundkvist, i just dont know which one they keep.

Kids games, pretty cool.

If it is streamed I expect it to be a 2010 camera phone pointed at the jumbotron potato feed, leading to a hard boiled egg feed.

Trouba's M-NTC kicks in the offseason Lundkvist, Robertson and Schneider go off their ELC's. There is light at the end of that tunnel.

I like Trouba but it would solve a lot of problems if Scheider was in his spot in a year or two

See, imo that actually would be a problem, because we can't get rid of Trouba at that point. On the other hand, Schneider will be ready when he is and I doubt he'll enjoy marinating in the AHL for 3 years ... it's gonna be very interesting what's gonna happen on defense in the next years.

That and the concussion from his own brother. If these two injuries never happened he’d be right up there with guys like Vlasic for best defensive defenseman of his era

Too much talent is never a problem. Stuff happens, whether an injury or a trade opportunity that requires a big return.
Yup, these are good problems to have.

Imagine if Tony D didn't torpedo his trade value and the Rangers were able to use him as the headliner to get a player like Hertl into the fold, and still had all of this ammo, now we'd be on easy street.
