That's ridiculous. Once you release him, he should be there until the end of the tournament.

If the NHL has a concrete plan to start Jan 1st then I doubt he'll be at any of the tournament because I think he'd be in NHL camp which would star mid December

You have a point. I read an article that said Bettman wants Jan 1st but the owners whisper Feb 1st to reporters.

Said this so much but either of Byram or Drysdale could win this tournament themselves like a Chabot almost did.

Chabot was such a beast that year and we have two guys who can possibly be what Chabot brought.

I like the D core this year. Good mix of speed, skill, and size up and down the lineup.

There will be some difficult roster decisions. I suspect this will be an older team with more fringe NHL tweeners all being available. Not to mention full time NHLer Dach and possibly Laf.

Thoughts on zary and Pelletier? Can’t watch the game

Zary has been much better than he was in the first scrimmage. Pelletier I think has been one of the more noticeable forwards for team red but that isn't saying much.

Dach is a man amongst boys, I sure hope he’s available in December.

The goalies are playing pretty well, no softies or awful rebounds but I wasn’t watching that closely, and I missed a bunch of the game. What I did see was good.

The only thing I noticed is Byfield when coming up the ice keeps the puck waaaay out in front of him, he even underskated it a couple times. Is that usual for him or just practice rust?

Top 3 team red forwards I liked are Rees, Krebs, Pelletier, Wright. Not too impressed with the other red forwards other than in glimpses
Byram, Drysdale, Guhle, Spence on D.

Team White Dach, Tomasino, Zary, Mercer, McMichael, Clarke all good. Cozens hurt was good early
Korczak and Robertson on D

He looked good. Had a couple nice plays and a good scoring chance he missed on. Not out of place.. but team read was over-matched most of the game
