I mean...I think something is wrong with him. I have thought something is wrong with lots of players from video evidence and been wrong before. That is my point. I do think he is hurt. I just think it is you could say ignorant if you want to speak in absolutes on something we actually don't know until well a doctor looks at it. I am sure you were also convinced Lafrienere was done for the tournament last year when he went over on his leg and was screaming out on the ice? I am sure we will find out what actually happened soon enough anyways, there are no prizes for correctly diagnosing an injury on the internet.
Unbelievable.
Okay whatever you say. The video is wrong, his bent wrist area is okay, im absolutely ignorant and dach is fine.

Good thing we didn't jump to any conclusions based on nothing!

No news is good news so let's hope for the best. :)
Xrays bad news but I'll definitely hope for the best.

Whatever makes you feel better I guess lol

"You dont gotta be a dotor to know hes got a right hand / wrist injury"

Yeah man hes fine, we dont know anything, we have no idea, no reason, I shouldn't talk in absolutes.
You're right bro congrats

They should be able to slot in Mercer/Suzuki/Tomasino there

Did Quinn do much on that line tonight?

Quinn was just OK, not good but not a liability in my view. First game coming off the lay-off so I’m good giving him another shot on the top line.

So with Dach out, for me it’s either Quinn-McMichael-Cozens, or Quinn-McMichael Tomasino with Cozens staying at center between Perfetti/Krebs.

The big disappointment tonight for me was Krebs, tried the no-look pass to a Russian one too many times and didn’t gel with McMichael at all. Again, first game, maybe he’s working out the kinks.

Bro. The whole point is there is literally lots of reasons.

Im not coming on strong. I'm just saying what is clearly visible from real life live action and then subsequent multiple angles of slow motion replay.

Is this willfull or woefull ignorance?

He is obviously not okay.
Something looks clearly wrong and seemingly broken.

Thats all im saying idk why you feel the need to argue as if theres no reason or idea of what happened.

Yeah i get it, it looked bad. But the specific nature of that injury wasn't obvious at the time.
More ambiguity to the nature and severity.

This time it looks pretty clearly like a very specific region was not 100%, in a way that implies an amount of severity to keep him out of the tournament.

Which is a big bummer.

- Dude, have you seen the video ? Clearly something is wrong here.
- Are you a doctor or something ? What are you basing this on ?
- I meam I am infering from what I see on the video, am I not allowed to discuss this ?
- Oh, so now you're saying he has a fracture and he's done from a VIDEO ?
- Bro he's screaming in pain and his wrist is bent backwards.
- Ooohhhhh, so now you have access to Dach x-rays and multiple diagnosis from orthopedic surgeons ? Why are you talking in absolutes you HF doc ? Get ready to look like ass when he comes back like Lafreniere lol.

I had an injury like this before, it's not career threatening, it's just a sprain on the wrist. 4-6 week time frame and then it will be like no injury ever happened. He won't be able to hold onto a stick though, expect him to be out of the entire tourny.

Almost impressive just how much you misinterpreted what I said. I responded to the person because they were posting with certainty over the type of injury Dach has(I bolded that for everyone in the back hopefully you get it!!). You have absolutely no idea he broke his wrist/thumb from watching those videos. None. I don't doubt he hurt himself lol people really showing their full ass tonight for absolutely no reason :laugh::huh:

Neither Krebs or Suzuki should have been playing ahead of Tomasino.

I never understood why people go to such lengths to prove an injury is very bad. Why would anyone even want to stress the negative with an injury? I don’t think it’s some accomplishment to be the most negative with the predicted outcome. I guess if you’re the player, doctor, or team you have to be realistic but people who have no actual idea of the injury trying to prove with no proof that an injury is really bad never made sense to me. I sometimes think it’s a reverse jinx tactic to some.

It's silly to act like we know what happened either positive or negative. You have no idea that he broke something and we also have no idea if he is perfectly fine. I really don't care what replays we have to look at. The HF doctors thought Laf blew an ACL last year in the round robin and he was back in less then a week. Not that I am saying Dach isn't hurt....but we know jack shit from watching a reaction on the ice.

Definitely some things to work on but not too bad of tune up game.

The coaching is going to have to work on transition defense and defensive gaps. We got exploited a lot on the stretch pass and our defensive gaps were poor allowing for Russia to beat our dmen wide for much of the game.

I thought Byfield played much better and was assertive. His line did a solid job on the night.

Perfetti and McMichael both had nice evenings and that line probably cashes a few times if Krebs wasn't so out of sorts tonight.

I didn't think the Newhook line managed to accomplish much tonight but if they are more of a checking line then they atleast didn't give much up either.

Our top line wasn't really functioning that well. Cozens was trying to do too much with the puck, Dach was a bit out of sorts and Quinn as the triggerman was having a hard time accomplishing much when he is more dependent on his linemates to get him the puck in scoring positions.

Didn't a Canadian play with a bad injury and score the game winner on a beauty shot recently? I want to say torn shoulder and he scored a bar down goal to win it? Am I being crazy here?

Sounds like Hayton during the Gold medal game last year when he played with a separated shoulder and tied the game in the 3rd period

I'll try and add a bit of reason to this discussion about Dach's injury.

It's difficult to tell alot from the one angle in that video. Either he is holding his hand in a weird position, or there is a dorsal deformity of the wrist. If it is deformed, then I can say without ever seeing an xray that he has a fracture of the distal radius, and the distal fracture fragment is displaced dorsally. In many cases there is an associated fracture of the ulnar styloid, but that is relatively inconsequential in the treatment of the injury. If it is in fact broken, whether or not he requires surgery will depend on the complexity of the fracture, how well the displacement can be aligned, etc.

Again, it's very hard to tell from a two second glance at his wrist. Is there any other video of him on the bench?

Doc and walk don’t rhyme???

Am I in crazy town right now? :loony:

McMozesmadness is right. This thread is one for the books!

Sadly it looks like Kirby might need a Doc after today. I hate to say it, but I think it's our punishment for this Doc/Dach/Walk fiasco
