Line Combos: 2021 Boston Bruins Lines

I thought I had read he should be good for Tuesday, but maybe I'm wrong.
Ok, is there any word on grizlyk's situation yet sire? Like he gon be back soon or later? What is your opinion, will Reilly play on the first PP unit as long as grizlyk is gone no?

I expect to see this when healthy:
63-37-88
71-46-12
74-13-21
11-52-20

but maybe we’ll still see Smith on that first line. Pasta dropping down to that second line with Hall and Krejci... woof

Marchand/Bergeron/Pastrnak
Hall/Krejci/Smith
DeBrusk/Coyle/Ritchie
Frederic/Kuraly/Lazar

I believe Kuraly will step up in the playoffs and be what we all know he can be. A 4th line gem.

Still can’t believe Ritchie has been this good.

Get McAvoy and the supremely underappreciated Grzelyck back and I think we are looking at a very strong contender this year.

Go crazy.

63-46-88
71-37-12
21-13-74
11-52-20

Line 1 has performed well together in the past. And maybe it will get Krejci some more goals.

Line 2 keeps Hall away from top matchups to get his confidence back, plus Bergeron is the easiest center to play with. We already know 37 and 12 work

Won't happen, but that's my $0.02.

If Krejci and Hall does not workout...

Marchand Bergeron Smith
Hall Coyle Pasta
Debrusk Krejci Kuhlman
Blidh Kuraly Lazar

Grz McAvoy
Reilly Carlo
Lauzon Miller
Zboril Clifton

Ritchie the odd man out

Love it.

Honestly, that second line is what I wanted to see this summer, with Krejci getting flipped for a pick or prospect. I know Coyle has struggled but IMO he was as good as Krejci for long stretches last year and I think he would be outstanding between two play driving wingers.

On what planet do you play Khulman and Blidh ahead of Ritchie? That's just not going to happen, nor should it.

I love this Idea, especially the first line.

David is an offensive minded player who can hold his own on defense...why has he been the player asked to develop the younger guys.

Bergeron is one of the best defensive forwards to ever play the game and has proven he can play with just about anybody, he should have been carrying the inexperienced players this whole time.

Honestly it pisses me off that it has not been tried...such a no brainer. Alas, Julian and now Cassidy seem to believe breaking up 63 and 37 is a sin. Butch needs to grow a set.

I agree. Myself not being a fan of Ritchie I still would play him instead of these AHlers. Kuhlman nor Blindh should be on the roster once all players are healthy.

What has Ritchie done to be demoted below Hall and Debrusk? In the 2021 season he's been a better player than both.

He's one of the best pp tall standers in the game, has a quick release, pp goal production was good to start the year however he only uses his big frame to drive the net every other other game and he continues to look lackadaisical most games, especially when defending.

Most likely will start the 3rd line, 2nd pp unit, and could drop to 4th line/pressbox should the lackadaisical Ritchie shows up.

Even lackadaisical Ritchie is a better player than half the Bruins forward group.

Yes. Definitely makes so much sense to take out one of your leading point players for AHL scrubs.

95% of your lineups feel like you’re trying to reinvent the wheel. Thank god you can’t because we’d be driving around on triangles.

The issue could also comedown to Ritchie playing alongside Krejci

Its just too slow....compounded

The pace is also picking up every week... inching closer to the playoffs. We will see if Ritchie can keep up

He knows what he wants to do/when he has the puck on his stick. The question is, how quickly can he execute without getting puck stripped/hounded

His skating is fine. His decision making and execution with the puck is fine. He was impactful in previous playoff series in Anaheim. I don't see any issue here with Ritchie, nor do I see 9 forwards who should be ahead of him in the line-up. To me, he's a fixture of the Top 9 F group as he should be.

Ritchie has the 4th most goals on the team. No way he sits or “sucks.” Bruins finally have a top 6 winger and more than one person wants to sit one of the more impactful forwards?
