Holtz a rocket 1-timer and he missed the net. Gets another chance but doesn't handle the pass. He finally passes it and hits the outside of the net never getting it through the slot. have to wonder if he was trying to sneak that one behind Dell.

12 shots through 2 periods vs a team known to not play defense is unacceptable. Maybe if they hit the net on the many shots they have attempted, the SOGs would increase, rebounds might happen, and goals might be scored.

The Amerks have not shut down the Comets. The Comets have repeatedly shut themselves down rush after rush and the play in their own zone has allowed the Amerks multiple chances in high danger zones and lots of zone possession. The Comets extended offensive zone possessions amounting to multiple chances and a high level of pressure can be counted on 1 hand.

They need to step it up. Get their heads out of their asses and get agressive. Way too passive and not because they are concentrating on defense. I can't explain it. A 2-0 lead in a 5-game series would be huge. Going to Rochester 1-1 and playing 2 there back to back could spell disaster. They have come to far to just throw it away on a lackluster effort.

I have never seen a team with such inability to clear the puck out of their own with it on their stick. There have been countles examples of it tonight and it's been a problem all season.
