Mukh looked good clearing Daws' crease. He QB'ed the first PP unit and after a scrambly first half of the shift put it on Greer's tape for the PPG. Got caught pinching leaving Wotherspoon defending a 2-on-1 that Daws bailed out with a nice poke check.

More BS from the Amerks at the end of the period. They seem to grow big ones after periods and after the end of games. In general they are not tough guys, nor are the Comets for that matter, but they are amongst the best yappers, attitudinal impression of machismo, and it ends up all strut and mouth before skating off like the other guys backed down. It's been effective for them in post whistle scrums when they can get their opponent to lose focus on the game or take the bait and get called for penalties while the Amerkback off or turtle, but don't engage.

Syracuse has been running with 11 F/ 7 D the past two games and Laval decided to match it as well today.

Now it's time to see if the Comets can come out and put together a 2nd period like they did Tuesday night. They turnd the game around with a 20-5 shot advantage, put 2 in to tie the game, gave up a 3rd and came right back to tie it a 3. Then owned the 3rd with a 3-0 lockdown that gave them a 6-3 win.

They have to stay on the Amerks like they did Tuesday. This team is too good to give open ice. They are good puck handlers, passers, and shoot the puck with a guy in front on most of them. They feast on turnovers and the Comets have a reputation of providing teams with lots of them. They have developed an offense employing the open point that the Comets give them all night. they literally throw pucks back to them when the play up front is taken away.

Holtz alone in front and can't handle the puck.

A ridiculous bounce on a round the end boards pass that bounced off the boards at the goaliine and came right into the circle to a wide open Peterka and it's 3-2 Amerks.

Have to wonder why Clarke has been scratched for Halonen both games. Halonen hasn't impressed enough to warrant owning a spot.
