Comets need a spark from someone.

The Amerks have been a thorn in their side all season.

Comets have played 3 road games in 4 nights. It won't get any easier with 2 more back to back after tomorrow.. That's a total of 8 games in 13 nights.

They are currently gassed and it's not going to get better

Greer gets the hattie with :38 to go and Schmid on the bench.

Time runs out and after a conference the Comets get .6 seconds to tie it.

It's over after doing it twice. LOL!

4-3 Rochester.

Good night!

What's the scuttlebutt on Greer. Is he just too slow for NHL hockey? He really seems to be lighting it up in the A.

BAHL’S ARMY — Members of Bahl’s Army, the group of Utica Comets fans in section 203, pose with defenseman Kevin Bahl after a game last season. The fans presented Bahl with his own shirt. From left: Aaron Schuster, Scott Schuster, Bahl, Mark Mailinowski and Josh Amodio.

Kid with the Dawsome shirt was on it last season. But was it for Daws or Dawson?

I assume Daws.

The real question is if the parents drew a line at putting “Bahls Out” shirt on a kid or the kid has his own quiet dignity and made that call.

I’ve said it often, but, man, the West is going to be a bloodbath. Whoever crawls out of there to AHL finals really earns it.

And only the 1st seed in the Pacific gets a bye, the rest have 5 playoff rounds if they’re going to win it all.

The top two in the Atlantic get a bye, and the top three in the North and Central get them.

So the Eagles have the 5th best win % in the AHL and have to play in the playoff round (as does Ontario with the 3rd best win %).

Schmid was terrible on the 4th and winning Amerk goal last night. He was trying to knee walk across his crease while Quinn was circling the slot after receiving the draw on the right side, He circled across the slot and beat Schmid short side high. Schmid never got across and left the short side open. He was flailing away on his knees and tried to lean his upper body to the post, but was late getting there and wouldn't have mattered if the lean got him to the post. It was already in the top corner before his body got there. Why he was already on his kness the second the draw was lost is beyond me. If he had staid in his crouch and then followed Quinn across the crease, he would have been standing there (or kneeling, which is his instant preference lately) waiting for Quinn to take his shot.

He makes some great saves, but has not been the same keeper he was before being given the top spot and playing multiple games in a row with a single game break before going right back at it. His best (and superb lights out) keeping came when he and Daws were alternating starts and both were winning on a steady basis.

He’s a first year pro and likely wearing down. Gillies should be in Utica if he isn’t going to play in the NHL
