Grundstrom was key on the first goal, keeping the puck alive in the crease. Tonka!
He can actually play well with Danault and Moore.
I wish they would put Carl on the PP in front of the goal.
He's so strong. Keeps the play going. Can finish in close. And maybe even draw another penalty,
as they have to battle him hard and may cross check him or hold him.

Tonka and Danault should be the 2 players playing in front of the net on PP1 and PP2 every game.

We need those greasy goals, especially on the PP.

Zapruder film analysis says...maybe. And the thing is they said he was out for the season when we were on a three game losing streak and making the playoffs much less doing this was in question.

Brown with a really good game tonight. Not that i'm expecting anything from the rookies....but for the love of god, i'd really like to see Kaliyev,Kupari,Vilardi....SOMEONE steps his game up!

Again, Kaliyev was absolutely excellent tonight. It's not his fault he's not getting more PT.

Kupari also had some excellent checking shifts.

If they keep it up, they're due in the next two games.

Honestly Kaliyev has some of the most effective checks I've seen, he seals a guy and walks offw ith the puck quite frequently, there was one shift where he checked BOTH Oilers dmen and made the play.

Yea I thought both played solid and made no glaring mistakes. Which is what the coach wants. They eat the few minutes they get well enough and get some offensive zone time grinding.
Guys like Jarvis, Laf, Kakko, Boldy have put up more points but none are really stealing the show. Robertson isnt either. The games seem to be run by the 25-29 year olds with rookies and vets playing more specific roles. Crosby and Ovechkin are still freaks that can contribute offense with the younger guys.

I watched the game butt naked on my couch, I will happily commit to wearing the same outfit on Thursday.
