From Insider: Regarding Brendan Lemieux, McLellan said that there is no injury and the way the game flowed simply phased players out in the second half, but “he did his job, there was nothing that he did wrong”

Seems odd since he scored a goal, maybe Todd was worried he'd take a dumb penalty?
Lmaooo what the f*** ? He scored the goal and got benched ? Todd Mclellan just explained why a perfectly healthy Lemieux was sitting fresh while Kopitar was on life support ? Sheesh don’t make it easy on Anze. We wouldn’t want that now would we

There's less parking (lots and street parking) with all the new apartments that went up over the past few years. And then weekends is +$5 at all the lots I've seen.
Near the ghetto area ( lol essentially all of La) the worst parking was 18 bucks at the cheapest I saw

Been a rough 24 hours for me. Oilers lost, my 3 year old son broke my Van Damme TimeCop DVD movie, and my wife shut me down for dirty time

Not looking for sympathy from you folks….. just thought I would share my life with you good folks

Carry on here
Maybe you can find your Van Damme TimeCop VHS. Two birds with one stone if it has any nudity.

Lol, I’m sure Tkachuk and Stutzle are losing on the golf course.
Can they both lose if they play each other at golf?

that's f***in wild.. if you're gonna purposefully bench a guy to 3 minutes you might as well have had frk up warming the bench as a PP specialist

This is an incredible point, especially with the BS dives that the refs were calling
someone should get Leon a swim cap. He dives than score and whacks Durzi. The CBC crew loved it, first time I have ever missed Don Cherry, he would have called Leon out.

I thought the rookies were not used enough. Hopefully they have the jitters out of the way and can play more in game 2. Felt like LA was a two line team up front.

LA was a two-unit group because Byfield was a mess and Lizotte was anchored by two slow guys.
TMac has a hard choice to make.
Do you tempt fate and change the lineup after a win? Arvidsson may make the question elementary.

But you can't play lines you don't trust.
I'd consider removing Byfield for Kupari.

Also think Lemieux needs to play with Lizotte to be effective.

Well, that was the most exciting hockey game I've watched in a long time. Definitely the most exciting Kings game in years. Of course, the outcome is the icing on the cake but the game itself had me shaking my leg the entire game. I'm glad they came out strong. If any Oilers fans start blaming the refs then they are completely delusional. At least two of those calls agains the Kings last night were pretty atrocious but the Kings still found a way to win. I loved watching Iafallo blast a slapper from 8 feet out. The last highlight of the game was watching McDavid's thousand yard stare at the press conference.

Kopi looked great last night but I don't think he can keep it up if he keeps getting played so much. That's a lot of minutes for anyone, let alone someone older like him. Todd needs to figure out the ice time, sub in Vilardi or Kupari for Lemiuex if you're that worried about him getting reputation calls.

If Arvidsson is ready he has to draw back in. Maybe reunite the Lemieux Lizotte Kaliyev line also. Byfield got better as the game went on and Kupari has not looked good at center in the games he was put there recently. Iafallo Byfield Grundstrom would work but I doubt they take Brown out.
So much depth that is basically plug and play at this point as long as Kopitar plays as well as he did in game one and the Danault line does their thing.

Kopitar was great last night...all game long. Maybe you can save your criticisms of the coaching for when the Kings lose. I know you've been chomping at the bit and it's been a couple weeks now, but I'm sure you'll have an opportunity to unload on TM in the near future.

Kopitar had a really good game but he was flagging in the third that was apparent. He shouldn't play Pepe if he's worried about him being penalized, they need more players to eat more minutes. This has been a problem all season long so I don't see it changing.

Arvidsson enters back in for Lemieux whenever he returns, no doubt about it. You can’t sit arguably your best finisher and best right shot forward because you won game 1.

TMac clearly has little faith in any of the forwards beyond the Top 12. Lemieux played over Kupari, Vilardi and Lias but only played a couple of minutes because TMac doesn’t trust him. So what’s that tell you about the trust level with the other 3?

Hoping the Kings can avoid injuries this series. I like our chances 5 on 5 with our current group.

As long as Kassian is in the line up for the Oilers I think Lemeiux needs to be in for the Kings. I honestly didn't even know Kassian was still in the league. The guy looks like Lloyd Christmas and it's hard to take him seriously.

Kopitar on multiple occassions dragged a player clutching on him. He looked in prime form from what I could see.

He’s 35 playing a ton of minutes. Kopitar has shown a lot of signs of wear this season. Those who aren’t throating Todd at every corner see it. Tilt your head up a bit and you can see while Kopitar was great he was already gassed the third period. No one said Kopitar played bad but you can’t keep deploying him like that. Just read what others are saying about his ice time. Just because it worked doesn’t mean it’s the right solution. It’s temporary. And when Kopitar is worn out then what?

Kopitar did look great no doubting that. Either he really dragged ass for the playoffs or the rest before game one really helped him. I don’t remember Kopitar ever being the type of player to take games off so if he’s doing that now then that’s new and understandable.

Dude, check the scoreboard...we won. Have a couple beers, stop crying.

Byfield got better.
But man... First 3 shifts - one awful giveaway for a point-blank scoring chance, one minor penalty.
That icetime tells you a lot about how willing Tmac is to trust them.
That's not sustainable.

i forgot how stressful playoff games are

im gonna have a f***in heart attack sometime next week

It’s possible their ice time increases throughout the series and the playoffs as the kids get a feel for the pace. A full ten minutes from the fourth line would be huge.

That giveaway was risky business. Mcdavid is in a class of his own.
His penalty looked like a dive its Leon going for a swim again. Had good positioning on him.
Tmac has been that way all season.
Mcdavid and Draisaitl played pretty much every other shift so its harder to match up. Lizotte and Byfield struggled a bit against those 2 until the third both got up to par.
If the Kings can get through this round most other teams roll four lines and have only one to keep the bottom six away from.
