I watched the Pens feed. They kept speaking of how many more hits the Pens had as if it was a good stat line but I have always thought that just meant the other team had more possession.

I disagree with your opinion.
I believe Kings need Helenius on roster ASAP to prevent other team taking advantage of small team.
Last game in Philadelphia we had the same problem.

Home hit numbers are always ridiculously overinflated. Hits as a stat are almost worthless

Imagine how much better the Kings’ record would be if they had a somewhat competent special teams unit.

Or finished better. Even 10 pct better would be a huge improvement. PP still blows, and once again almost gave up a shorty. Carter came close. Take the 2 point, and tell Malkin to f-right-off til next season!

Yep...Kings PP is too predictable and for the love of Cristos can TMac get Brown off the unit permanently!

The Kings are currently giving up 1.56 goals per game 5 on 5. That's 2nd best in the entire NHL.

The King's PP is worse than you think. When you factor in short handed goals given up, their net PP% is actually 11.7% which is PATHETIC.

And after today's terrible PK performance, the Kings PK% has dropped down to 73.2% 28th in the NHL.

He's on fire now, like last year he started to heat up in the 2nd half. What we need to avoid is his slow starts, 2 pts in his first 22 games. I think he is a perfect middle 6, 5 on 5 and PK player. But we need to get a legit top line winger that won't hurt us 5-5 and help this PP.
