love this sport sometimes, guy goes off with a towel over his hand... "out with an upper body injury"

thanks fellas

Ok. He's still 28, and in the first year of a 4 year/$16m contract. Richards was given every last second to show he was a shell of a hockey player, and that was Sutter, while the team was contending for a Cup. Iafallo isn't 13-14 Richards bad yet, so, you'll just have to wait I guess. Win or lose, score or not, Iafallo will get his ice time.
He’s making 4m a year. You act like he’s an $8m a year established star.

I’m not calling for him to be benched but if he’s on your #1PP after a half season of nothing it’s basically saying it’s nothing close to a meritocracy.

Spence looks really good to me. Only problem this team has no size and physicality which he doesnt help with - we already have Durzi.. but I think Spence is even better with the puck and with his shot

He just needs time. Unfortunate on the error that led to a goal. Kings barely hitting anything tonight.

Id say that play was half Peterson's fault.. not holding that against him, its a weird play when your goalie is taking up space you need to be in

Bro the kings need a decent goalie, and a Dman.

Cal and Quick are hot trash right now.

And we need new coaches. Todd is a cuck by all measures.

5th highest paid forward on the team.

I don't know what answer to give you. I'm not the coach in charge of any of this stuff. It's just pretty clear that the more experienced you are, the more chances you get. It's not this isn't working for a few weeks, you're out. It's obviously not 45 games and it's not working, you're out. It'll be at least one more game. It's the same with Kopitar's minutes. How many times can people ask why? It's because he's Kopitar, has 2 Cups, been loved by every coach he's ever had since he was 3 weeks old, etc.

I'm sure you can go through pretty much every team, and it'll be the same story. The more veteran guys get their time. Unless a young guy is just undeniable, he'll probably be brought along slowly. Especially when you bring in vets to play scoring roles. Young guys don't usually push vets down the lineup. You purposefully open up a spot for a young guy, by not keeping or bringing in a vet, put him there, leave him there, and then he gets the chance to stay in that spot and prove that he sucks.

Your ability to dispassionately explain the path to mediocrity is always appreciated
