Jim:”lets keep an eye on the TOI distribution this period” hahahahahahah yeah lets

See if he notices the Kopitar double shift
This is such a massive problem. To lose so much to a single team within your division says something about your coaching staff. This kind of stats confirms how bad todd is in playoffs when its multiple games against the same team. This means he doesn't adapt.

and now Roy is gone? Wow.

At this point it's comical. Just gotta hope the team can tread water for a few weeks and survive for a late season surge. Can't even be that mad at results when a team is this hurt, especially on defense

Your ability to dispassionately explain the path to mediocrity is always appreciated
11-12 started with Murray as coach, and DL obviously had no plan on firing him. They got Richards, sold us on Gagne, and still weren't a contender. It's pretty much, you're mediocre, until you get lucky. Your top pick becomes one of the elite players in the league, or you massively win a one sided trade, or someone just comes out of nowhere. Something like that. That's what it takes.
You can be excited about the latest Ontario prospect coming to save the day. I’m hoping we have a proven NHL player added to the roster sometime between the end of tomorrows game and when we play the Avs on Tuesday.
There won't be a panic trade. The trade market is dead anyway, up until maybe the deadline, but even then, there aren't many panic trades then either.

What the hell for? You think one player is saving this team? I don’t give a shit if it’s McDavid or Hedman, this team is going nowhere as constructed and managed this season.
Because the young players on the Kings underwhelm time and time again and will continue to see their value fall. We are in 2nd place and committed to trying to win over the summer, and even though I disagreed with that, might as well follow through.. I’m not not saying to trade QB, Clarke, Arty or Faber for a rental but if you can get someone who can help your roster and you are giving up depreciating assets like Vilardi, Turcotte, Kupari, JAD or a 1st rounder outside the top 20 you do it. A guy like Boeser or Garland is going to be in the lineup now for this run and next season, can the same be said of any of those guys with any certainty at this point?

you know i'm fine with kopi passing that after f***ing pathetic display the last time he had no one between him and the goalie

With this many injuries, I say you actually don't make any trades. This season is house money, don't go full knee jerk now. It's beyond frustrating, but what does adding 1 or 2 big names do to fill out 6 roster spots wroth of injuries? Stay the course. I don't even know if I believe that what I'm saying is right, but this feels like now is not the time to over react.

The truth is, if the injuries are in the vein of 3-4-5 weeks and Doughty's day-to-day is more like 1-2 weeks, the only trades you make are ones you guarantee are for guys in LA long-term. Can't trade your way out of these injuries

Sutter wasn’t available when Murray was hired. DL got him as soon as there was a reason. The Kings had two straight playoff seasons using a young core. If DL had held onto Murray and made the players into the scapegoat by trading one of the young guys, then he would be judged mediocre. Just like what Blake did after his charade of a team fell apart a couple months after a playoff sweep.
