It’s not a good contract and it’s not terrible numbers wise but where i have a problem with it is that it was undeserving. He hadnt done anything to get that money

The problem is that Quick is 36, and Petersen is already 27, and was going to be a UFA. Back in Sept when he signed that deal, Quick wasn't coming off of any good seasons in a while, and Petersen had at least some decent numbers in relatively limited time, on the same crappy team as Quick.

But yeah, he's going to have to earn his way into the contract.

What would've been great is if Petersen was like 23 today. He's not getting $5m if that's the case.
