God, f*** Seattle already. That was the most antihockey we've seen all year and we've played the Yotes.

One thing is for sure, we will see a lot more of this going forward. Give the Kraken's scouting some credit.

I'm not so sure we will. That's one of the reasons we went out and got Danault. You want to out-low-event the Kings? I guess if a team less talented than us makes the playoffs we could see that but I doubt it. Most teams want to play aggressive and go for the win, not muck it up and try not to lose. If you want to trust every game to a coin flip, I like our chances turning the game into mud wrestling with an entire roster of two-way players. No, most good teams WANT us to turn it into a track meet of some sort, higher pace. We'll definitely see it against the Seattles of the league though, reminded me of that game we played vs. Van in the Cup era where we outshot them like 50-10 and lost 2-1 or some shit, they were literally flipping pucks AT our guys so they could throw hits, lol.

I mean for Seattle yeah give them credit they did what they had to do.

Poor AI, what a play. That part of the leg has like no padding. I wouldn't be surprised to see him out a game or two with a major bruise once swelling starts. He gutted it out at the end but was noticeably limping.

Go see Cal, what a game.

Everyone else, burn the tapes, and show up ready to play harder on Monday. It's nice to win a game we shouldn't instead of losing a game we should win...that's progress. But I saw a lot of guys who didn't want to get hit tonight, like they thought they were gonna get in and out of Seattle unscathed with an easy win. I didn't like a lot of those bad habits tonight, guys were turning away instead of driving thru.

Also Turcotte rounding into his own, gimme a Turcotte/Byfield combo with Fagemo/Vilardi/Brown already.

Pens win!!! Pens win!!! In OT but still better then nothing.

And Dallas too. They had a lot of games in hand and could catch us, but they keep losing so that has evaporated.

Tonight's scoreboard was pretty much perfect, too bad sportclubstats isn't updating the NHL at the moment. Playoffstatus has us at 60% to make the playoffs after tonight. We gotta get @HansH off the Gulls board for proper analysis.

WHAT THEY'RE SAYING : CATS ARE FUNNER WITH A BALL OF YARN EDITION

The Marquis : Talk about low event hockey.
Fistfullofbeer : Sometimes I wonder if our players are just lazy with their passing or just brain dead.
Cisse : Now if we had some talent we could score. Twice.
kihei : Am I the only one wondering how LA had the record it has this season?
Fistfullofbeer : They have not looked great but it could also just be an off game. Or the fact that our division is still not the strongest.
kihei : This is about as exciting and less entertaining than watching my cats play with a ball of yarn.
kihei : We need way shinier toys.
Quackenator : What a stinker. And to the kings :(
Fistfullofbeer : It's tough for me to say anything is doable anymore with much confidence because we are the 3rd worst team in the league. And we have lost to one of the two teams that are worse.

Iafallo is an Ironman with an Iron Leg.

Great to see Cal step up with another big W to regain his confidence.

Trevor Moore you bad, bad man for missing that empty-netter. No lap dance for you tonight!

Seattle and their fans need Matthew Beniers to step in next season as well as adding another 1st or 2nd overall pick in the off-season.

Great stuff. I'm expecting this post after every win now you hear.

The Kraken could sure use Matty Beniers...I see him signing and joining them after his season at Michigan. They are loaded with, him, Kent Johnson (CBJ) Owen Power (BUF) Luke Hughes (NJ) and Brendan Brisson (Vegas)

Kings are a bright spot in the Pacific.

No one anywhere has mentioned how awkward their arena is. WTF are those box sections down toward the ice? Looks so janky. Doesn't even look like a legitimate NHL arena. Very unimpressive team so far in all aspects - logo, uniforms, arena, on ice product, etc.

This is a game that shows our weakness. When we don't skate, it is a grind and we are not roster ready to play that way... yet. We still need to beef up the roster but at least the foundation is poured. We won a game we shouldn't but that is part of getting better too.

eh give the team a break. I want to see the Kraken succeed, just not when they're playing the Kings. Their success is hockey's success. Just like Vegas. the success that Vegas has had is good for the entire league. Hopefully eichel brings them more success and becomes their bonafide superstar.

I'm gonna get this out of the way...Tim Peele sucks as a ref! Never seen a guy refuse to call so many obvious penalties before . No wonder everyone was on him, from Tmac, to brown to kopi and so on. Trips, hooks, interferences, you name it, nothing on seattle. We had the one call late in the 1st, thats it.
Here are 3 examples in the 3rd, 2 on back to back shifts, one on there pp.

Doughty picked right after AI blocked the shot

Moore picked at the blueline

Moore again , this time his arm held near the blueline, and pulled down.

This was just pathetic officiating all around.
