Okay no excuses but it was a back end of a back to back, and we looked good yesterday yeah. (Trying to stay positive in the middle of this S***hole).
I really really really wish they were able to get wallstedt in the last draft. I know they tried to. A real shame they couldn’t.So the Kings are f***ed once Quick retires.
Kupari is going to be showing off his playmaking in the AHL soon.
Vancouver has a solid team, Demko is a very good goaltender. I like Bruce Boudreau and think he'll really get things turned around. He'll be a great coach for the young guys especially Pettersson. That being said we knew the Kings would just roll over after yesterday and give them their first win with a new coach. 1 game win streaks FTW!
just imagine kaliyev getting a feed like that someday on the PP
I’m really shocked at how awful Moore, Andersson and Peterson are this season. Even if Moore isn’t scoring I expect him to create havoc but he just skates into the defender and turns the puck over.
Andersson looks lost and doesn’t bring any fire or grit that he was supposedly know for.
And Peterson can’t come up with a big save and his rebound control is horrid. Half the time he shoots the puck back to the middle of the ice.
Moulson - Kopitar - Brown
Iafallo - Lizotte - Frattin
Kempe - Tynan - Moore
Arvidsson - Frk - Derek Armstrong
Doughty - Edler
Maatta - Voynov
Wolanin - Corvo
That way we can focus on everyone rolling lines in their role and don't have to worry about stupid things like 'learning' and 'accountability', can just throw whatever line is next out there for the PP and PK
Last night we shut down the best special teams group in the league, and put up 3 pp goals. Tonight we gave up 2 pp goals , and went 0-3 to the worst special teams group in the league, who had better scoring chances shorthanded than we did with the puck. This was a team that had given up pp goals in something like 11 straight games. Totally mindblowing.
I just go to sleep. It’s better for me.These days, when the game's going bad, I just bail out. I mean, there's a miniscule chance I miss out on an exciting comeback, but these days the chance is so small I can't even think of a hyperbolic statement to describe it. There's no need to be masochistic for fandom's sake. I've earned my damn stripes.
At least call up Timmy Gleason and ask what he’s doing nowadays. Hell I’d take 50 something Steve Finn over Maatta.Moulson - Kopitar - Brown

Im recommending they pull a Craig McTankish and keep the talented youngsters on the Reign, and finish in the bottom 5.. Just keep Brown in the top 6 and playing Kopi 30 min a game and give Cal 2/3 starts. Done.
Our PP needs Tkachev; not Tynan.
Well, in that case in Tkachev's stint with us he put up more points than Tynan has in his entire 21 game NHL career. Not sure I understand the logic of looking at AHL stats when Tynan's are much better than Tkachev's this year.
There is no NHL future for Tynan. Its a wasted opportunity for a kid to get NHL minutes AND it defeats the purpose of signing him, which is to provide an offensive focal point for the AHL squad while those kids develop. Not sure I understand the logic of looking at AHL stats when Tynan's are much better than Tkachev's this year.
Why would a rebuilding team sit a kid who is playing well? For that one mistake that led to a goal? What kind of message would that send?very lackluster. Kuapri should watch a game or two..or play in the AHL for a bit

It would just reinforce the real problem here, and that is trying to make the playoffs when they are incredibly unlikely - these kids can't keep playing scared, its hurting their longterm potential. They have to play with enthusiasm and positivity, even if the results are losses. They are going to lose anyway, they need to stop patronizing Kopitar and Doughty and embrace the youth. Nothing will change here until they do so.
