Maybe the Sharts draw better than SJ State. I though perhaps VGK might do it, but UNLV are playing their home games at Raiders stadium and get 21k in attendance.

Vegas does but Stanford is 24mins from San Jose so I include them since it’s closer than Kings to UCLA.

Such a drama queen. All I'm saying let's see what 60 mins of a preseason game bring before you go crying for 60 games of this center lineup. Myself, I believe QB is better off in the AHL at least to begin the season.

If being sensitive to boredom is the accusation, then I’ll throw on a crown while you go drink your Metamucil.

Let's see if Brown can prove that the cliff he fell off during last season was due to injury and not age first. Signing him to another deal for his 38 year old campaign sounds like like a thank you contract to me. No thank you to that.

That'd be a real good trick considering that, to the best of my knowledge, Kupari is still with the Reign and, to the best of my knowledge, was not skating with the Kings today.

“With the split, it doesn’t mean that the group that’s going to skate this afternoon is out of the picture, we just can’t practice with six or seven lines,” McLellan said. “I do believe that there are going to be players who are going to skate with the Ontario group this afternoon that are still going to get exhibition games. It’s a little bit of a test for them, to handle the way they carry themselves, make sure that when their number is called again, they can play and maybe play their way back.”

I think we're hitting that strange conversational point where you can slowly begin making a weak argument about the Kings being a better team without Kopitar and Brown. Pretty strange.

I'll give you 25% credit, because I'm 50/50 on Brown still contributing this season. You could make an argument that moving forward Kopitar will be overpaid, but in no way would we be better off without him.

If I kick my fat wife out of bed I have room for 2 skinny chicks.

Or more room for chicken in bed...?

The greasy door knob, the constant licking of the fingers, he's hooked to the chicken isn't he!?

Hoven mentioned Brown coming back on one year but I wouldn’t do that. Re sign AA, he younger faster and tougher.

There are 7 reasons NOT to sign Brown to another contract: Kupari, Fagemo, Kaliyev, Chromiak, Turcotte, Madden, Thomas. An 8th would be, I would not be surprised he's playing every game by the end of the season and not due to being injured and no way is ready to begin another season a year from now. He looked worse than Clague the other night. I hope he can raise his game by a big margin.

(don't forget Hoven said in October 2018 "a return for Carter looks like a 1st and 2nd tier prospect" bwaha)

I reconsidered my post before reading this, you're right. We still need Kopitar, but I think you can actually make the argument over reconsidering him being the first line center or really limiting his ice time. He's extremely slow and even the second powerplay unit this preseason looked a lot better than his unit.

Based on Kopitar's play last season, I don't necessarily agree. But we're starting to get to that age with Kopitar where you say, "is this the year?"

Thankfully he keeps proving us wrong, but I agree that some day (possibly soon), he's not going to be a first-line center anymore. It's obviously good to have contingency plans, but until he gives us a reason to doubt him, Kopitar's still an undisputed 1C in this league.

Last I looked the team stinks and has less local fans than the college football teams in town.
UCLA's stock just dropped a tremendous amount, and one more loss by USC this season, and the Kings will be right there with them to start the season.

They already gave him that kind of contract.

There's simply no reason to re-sign him. Even if he had a 50 goal season this year.

Urban Meyer will give SC all the publicity they need on the field and off. Kings can’t match that.

It’s a long con to get out of jax, Meyer special.
USC President Carol Folt isn't going to touch Meyer with a 10-foot pole. She is very scandal averse, and doesn't need Meyer's BS on her campus.

Even worse than what he did last weekend (it did seem consensual), was him protecting a member of his staff at Ohio State that he knew was abusing his spouse.

Texts show Meyer knew of WR coach's abuse in 2015
