Brock Faber is in! (great name, kid)

Chromiak is a lock, and I hope he has a better camp to show he will play up to his potential. Last year, he was a let down in my opinion. There is quite a few guys who would be knocking at the door for top 6 ice time if he’s not in top form.

On clarke, it is simply baffling he wasn’t even invited to camp. There must be something there that is not being said.

Canada is probably just icing an older team. Not always the best strategy, but if it's their strategy it would explain it.

Hoping these two are able to develop into the future top 6 right wingers. Byfield- Chromiak and Turcotte - Kaliyev could be a good start if things work out. Though there are no guarantees.

So you think that Turcotte will be into the future our second line center? He is scoring in the AHL 0,63 pts per game, which is less than JAD is doing (0,81 ppg). I really hope that Kings second line center produces offensively more than that what Turcotte is doing now.

Hoping he does but wouldnt bet on it.

I've only really watched a few of his Wisc. games, all his WJCs, and most of his 2 AHL seasons, but just based on that, I do think he can be a 2C.

He's not dynamic like say Zegras, but Zegras is most likely a 1C in the future.

This year Turcotte was scoring at a higher PPG initially but is kind of in the middle of a dry stretch. For a bit he was paired with Austin Wagner so you have to consider that.

Last game he was with Vilardi and Tkachev and they had some really good looks. Turcotte had some nice plays including a no-look, backhand pass to Vilardi who unfortunately missed a wide open net.

It's been mentioned a few times, but he really is kind of like a Mike Richards / Justin Williams player; both of whom were top 6 forwards.

I have not seen any of his Wisc. games, only his WJC games (U18, U20) and most of his 2 AHL seasons (thanks AHL-TV!) and sorry, just based on that, I don't belive Turcotte will be Stanley Cup contenders 2 C. If everything goes really well he could be an effective, hard working, hard skating, net driving second line LW, who could sometimes take shifts as a center.

Turcotte has also played with Frk, Madden, Burke and Johnson and if he is a truly gifted, "NHL 2C"-level player, he should make his linemates better and for now I have not seen it.

Zegras is an artist, an ententainer - he is bigger, meaner, more skilled and a lot more creative and annoying than Turcotte. Zegras is a player, who opponents love to hate. There is no GM in the NHL, who would rather have Turcotte than Zegras.

It's still pisses me of that 2019 Blake drafted Turcotte, not Cozens (my favourite). It will take two more years, when Cozens gets his "man strenght", but then he is going to be a good player. Maybye scoringwise not as good as Zegras, but a really good player anyway.

That was such a debated pick. Even amongst the scouts I recall. I think LA really wanted Byram. They picked the two way all around player over the pure skill guy. Zegras went 9th. A lot of teams missed the boat. Ducks don’t get the publicity but they have a nice group of prospects.

He can't put the puck in the net for them, although often times he does all but that. I think he's yet another guy who will be better at the NHL level with NHL level support, talent, and flow than at the AHL level. Perfect example of a high-IQ guy who plays with pace. And no center is elevating Austin Wagner, otherwise you would have seen Deslauriers get a spike in production with Zegras too, right?

And you think people like playing against Turcotte?

This is a guy who was breaking sticks over his teammates arms in practice.

I think any of those picks could have gone a lot of ways but how about we let Turcotte get even a single nhl game before we bury him (again)?

The Ducks have done fantastically with their picks, the Zegras pick for them was sort of like Clarke for us, there's almost always a great value behind the 1-3 picks available where 4-10 blend and the Ducks have been hitting all of those.

Agreed, lotto picks in general are pretty valuable. Detroit has been lucky/brilliant with how they have faired with lotto bounces.

I’m hoping he is in the Mike Richards mold.
