Bednar has been consistent in his recent remarks. We have seen Byram skating, playing, at the rinks laughing and conversing with others. Reading between the lines on Bednar's recent comments, I think he may be suffering from anxiety related to his concussion and about getting another one. It could be a type of PTSD psychological issue that he is dealing with and will need to overcome.

Yeah, the word "help" being used is interesting. People say to me all of the time, "you need help" and we know what that statement usually means. :loony:
* I am not belittling anyone with mental health issues. Just poking fun at myself and giving context.

Stop bringing injury prone players. UFAs who cannot play in the playoffs have negative value for the Avs, the same money could be spent elsewhere.

Shouldn't Francouz have been recalled/taken off LTIR since he's past the limit of a conditioning stint?

Apparently he was on an "extended conditioning stint" whatever that means.

I suspect he gets called up on Sunday or Monday.

He's playing for the eagles tonight, so he won't be playing tomorrow. I bet he plays Monday.

Gotcha. I think it's really wise that they gave him 4 AHL starts before calling him up to make sure he's really back in the groove.

If that is even remotely true I don't know if it's better that post-concussion syndrome. A player doubting himself is pretty bad.

Could be Byram being physically strong enough to pass concussion tests, but still experiencing some symptoms and hiding this. He obviously would like to lower the barrier to playing again.
