The only thing Vilardi has earned is a trip to Ontario where he belongs.

He's in over his head most of the time. Constantly trailing the play and turning the puck over. Promoting him isn't going to help when he can't even handle the ice time he's getting now.

He has shown himself to be an excellent shooter though. Problem is, he's so ineffective everywhere else, that's he's rarely in a position to use his shot.

Try him out on wing or send him down.

I would expect Stickaforkinum to take it over, but its early in the season.

Vilardi has great final third game, great shot, great playmaking and great skills. Weakness on skating and stamina that limits his game up and down the ice...that's an easy description for a winger. I hope they give it a try. Byfield is going to be a center. Even if you move Turcotte to wing, Kopitar-Byfield-Danault is good for a number of years and when ready you swap Byfield and Kopitar. Obviously if Turcotte is a C, you have even less problems.

This is Vilardi’s problem. His stamina isn’t there. He’s got one burst and then the rest of the shift is spent fighting himself. He’s the guy on the basketball court who prentends like he’s going to play defense but it’s smoke. No real intelligent attempt at stealing the ball or blocking a shot. Just make a show of it.
I hope he can get his conditioning right but some people just are not made for it.

Byfield, Clarke and Turcotte can't be here soon enough...but until then, the Kings need Lemieux and Lias Andersson back in. Let Arthur and Rasmus play EVERY GAME.
They both had good games and were also closest to scoring.

Thought they had a chance to sneak into the playoffs in this division & call up Byfield, Turcotte & Fagemo at the end of the year. Might give them a good boost. With Doughty down & losing Walker, catching back up is going to get out of reach soon. Unless the Kings pull a major turnaround in the next few games the Vets need to go.

Losing Doughty & Walker, getting Hope's crushed early on this season I'm a little depressed. Will try & freak out less until the end of Nov.

Not saying dump them at a glue factory. The vets have some value, especially if money is retained.

Can probably dump Brown and Quick at the deadline to contenders. Quick looked pretty good tonight despite the garbage in front of him. If he can keep it up, he may look attractive to some team looking for insurance.

It utterly amazes me how people think throwing prospects into big minutes they aren't ready for is somehow good for their development. You want to ruin a prospect? That's how.
