Canada’s defense is struggling mightily with Russia changing positions in the attacking zone.
4-0 to Russia after 25 minutes.
Always good for countries to step in as places that can produce legit talent. Germany seems to be producing a high end guy or two per year now, but I'm sure with their influence they'll start producing a wider spectrum of NHL guysI’m watching the Germany Czech game and this German team has some serious 17 year olds.

Defensively solid, but not really noticeable on the offensive zone. Raymond and Holtz are doing the heavy lifting. So which one is the bird and which is the bucket of water?Still not fully sold on Dorofeyev. WJC doesn't move the needle for me on anyone.
How has Henriksson looked? Is he driving play or being carried by the Wonder Twins?
I loved him as a Ranger though.One sentence...takes him...five...minutes.
How’re his wheels? As I recall, they didn’t grade high in his scouting report going into the draft. The wonder twins never seem to be as wonderful without Henriksson though at least internationally.
this kid is very much a glue guy love him. One of my fav prospects
I always prefer players with a special skill. I’d prefer to have a guy do one thing great and be weak elsewhere - within reason of course - than be “solid” in many facets.Miller still got a bit of a learning curve ahead of him to fine tune his defensive game. At the same time, I don’t think he has any big issues.
BUT, he is top-notch at stepping up players high/early, and that is both tremendously valuable as well as a rare ability in a defender. He is also quick when going out to the corners fetching pucks and putting pressure on forward.
Miller have faced some criticism but I am still always really impressed when I see him play. Think he has a real unique and valuable combination of abilities.
Seems like he does the boring stuff that allows them to do their thing. So he doesn't jump out at you when they are on, but I do notice his subtle defensive plays a bit more. This is also why you don't really use a single tournament to define a player. The wonder twins never seem to be as wonderful without Henriksson though at least internationally.

Seeing what we’ve seen lately with some of our prospects, I’d say I’m more than happy to let guys stew a bit longer in college or home country leagues.Do think he would be better off turning pro or staying in college for another year?
He was great in prospect camp between Kakko and Kravtsov. Might end up being a really good two way 2nd center between talented wingers that gives them freedom to shine.Yeah IDK about Henriksson, the Twins definitely play a lot better with him as the pivot, but then when he's away from them, is he anything noteworthy? I like him, I do, I just wonder what he really is.
