I’m watching the Germany Czech game and this German team has some serious 17 year olds.
Always good for countries to step in as places that can produce legit talent. Germany seems to be producing a high end guy or two per year now, but I'm sure with their influence they'll start producing a wider spectrum of NHL guys

Still not fully sold on Dorofeyev. WJC doesn't move the needle for me on anyone.

How has Henriksson looked? Is he driving play or being carried by the Wonder Twins?

Defensively solid, but not really noticeable on the offensive zone. Raymond and Holtz are doing the heavy lifting. So which one is the bird and which is the bucket of water?

Miller still got a bit of a learning curve ahead of him to fine tune his defensive game. At the same time, I don’t think he has any big issues.

BUT, he is top-notch at stepping up players high/early, and that is both tremendously valuable as well as a rare ability in a defender. He is also quick when going out to the corners fetching pucks and putting pressure on forward.

Miller have faced some criticism but I am still always really impressed when I see him play. Think he has a real unique and valuable combination of abilities.
I always prefer players with a special skill. I’d prefer to have a guy do one thing great and be weak elsewhere - within reason of course - than be “solid” in many facets.

It does say a lot about a prospect that can step in seamlessly between two offensive studs and drive play for them. I think Henriksson is going to need more time to marinate, but from what I've seen, I love how the kid can skate and make smart plays with the puck.

The wonder twins never seem to be as wonderful without Henriksson though at least internationally.

this kid is very much a glue guy love him. One of my fav prospects
Seems like he does the boring stuff that allows them to do their thing. So he doesn't jump out at you when they are on, but I do notice his subtle defensive plays a bit more. This is also why you don't really use a single tournament to define a player.

Yeah IDK about Henriksson, the Twins definitely play a lot better with him as the pivot, but then when he's away from them, is he anything noteworthy? I like him, I do, I just wonder what he really is.
He was great in prospect camp between Kakko and Kravtsov. Might end up being a really good two way 2nd center between talented wingers that gives them freedom to shine.

From the limited times I've seen Henrikson play and from the scouting reports I've read, It seems like he could be a really good complimentary player on a line with skilled wingers. He wont drive the line but make it more complete.

He really impressed me in that camp. I don’t see him during the year in Sweden but every tournament he’s played in he’s been impressive to me. Just a guy that helps his linemates shine. He’s more what I though lias Andersson would be honestly. Although I thought lias would be a nasty guy to play against. Which he wasn’t but I don’t see that in Henriksson. Just really reliable. Long way to go for him but always impresses me.

Also didnt realize Russia, Canada and USA in the same group. That's kind of nuts. Guess that was because of Canadas 6th place finish last year?
