Of course they have not shown any more replays. If I had to guess, it was him pinching in and scoring on a wrister or one timer. He was pinching a lot in the 3rd. Played like a 4th forward.

Solid days for our guys. Gross getting one is nice. Still think he'll get an ELC, but not sure where his potential is. If he gets a sniff at the NHL, it's a win for a 4th rounder

Defensively solid, but not really noticeable on the offensive zone. Raymond and Holtz are doing the heavy lifting. So which one is the bird and which is the bucket of water?

There is a lot of things to be excited about with Henriksson. His vision is really good. He is really clutch. He is fantastic at anticipating where the puck is going and breaking up plays.

But at the same time he is a bit of a long-shot because his overall total power level is a bit weaker than the top guys.

I don’t think he is further away than many others. Many big names will bust on a yearly basis, that is always the case. Many players must progress a lot to get to the NHL. Henriksson has developed really well the last years, he must just keep doing that. He can really move in tight quarters, but he is not fast going the length of the ice. I think that he must take a big step physically to become a NHLer. I still think he is a bit on the outside looking in, but it’s one guy I am really pinning for because he got so many things that you love to have in a player/center.

He is the perfect guy to let stay in Sweden for at least two more seasons. The defensive awareness is very evident. His size may work against him, but it is too early to say for sure. I think he succeeds in the right circumstance. Put him between two dynamic wingers and he allows them the freedom to do their thing. If he lacks some distance speed, that could hurt. He almost sounds like a shorter Fast at center with more playmaking ability.

I saw both games. He has looked very good. More offensively active, or noticeable, in the first. You can see the skating and positioning very clearly. A perfect example was this morning (morning for me) a Swiss player was pulling away from a backchecher and Lundkvist sealed him off against the wall and killed the rush. Didn't get distracted with playing the puck, just shut the rush off.

Why did they stitch this up. The simple scalp laceration should be used with staples. My bigger concern is you driving home with a possible concussion evaluation.

I don’t ever stitch my guys up with the scalp lacerations. That’s basic stuff. And that’s coming from the US national team doctor.

Regardless I hope you’re OK.

I've said it a billion times already in regards to Henriksson...

Really good players can be dragged down by a bad line mate. The fact that Holtz/Raymond play better with him is a good thing.

There's also a long list of players who put up huge stats playing next to potential stars who never panned out. I need to see some more before I get too excited about two stars not being dragged down by a 3rd player in an under 20 tournament.

I believe Ryan Gropp is our most recent extreme example playing next to Barzal.

Lias Andersson playing in highly publicized tournaments next to Elias Petterson probably didn't hurt either.

Grachev played with Hodgson and Duchene at times.

It's certainly better than playing lousy with a good line mate though.

My prediction is a 3rd pairing AHL guy.

I definitely liked the pick where we were in the draft but I see him ultimately being a Swiss league regular, not an NHL guy. Doesn't have a characteristic in his game that screams NHLer to me.

Skating was never your strong point. ;)
