I swear I felt that same way. It’s a shame. I didn’t want people thinking I was being an isles homer so I didn’t even bother bringing his name Up. Stastney was a mess.
Isn’t USA Hockey known for holding grudges against American players that leave the States to play in Canada? Bode Wilde certainly falls in to that category.

Yes. He wasn’t invited 2 years ago to the summer showcase but I believe they invited him this summer. He’s been injured from the start of training camp and just recently came back. Maybe that’s it? I’m not sure though. He definitely deserved some heavy consideration though.

Nick Robertson played on the top line yesterday. Dustin Wolf and Arthur Kaliyev are on the team too.

USA Hockey favors USNTDP alumni, no doubt about it. Thats where the bias lies. That said, the stand out CHL talent usually makes it. I mean, other than Wilde and Regula who are the CHL kids that deserved strong consideration?

I want to cry. Second line is shocking... Least Turcotte is center now and fourth actually also has potential if Sandelin give them ice time more than 9 minutes.

It's almost unbelievable to make lines that bad with players that good. Here's a hot tip: play Turcotte and Caufield together. They're leading the Badgers in points scored and have a lot of chemistry. Here's another one: play Zegras at center. He's pretty good! Here's one last one: give Arthur Kaliyev more minutes - he leads the CHL in goals and points for f***'s sake!

Robertson - Turcotte - Caufield
Kaliyev - Zegras - Wahlstrom
Beecher - Pinto - Brink
Hall - Drury - Ford

How do the coaches not see this?

He leads the OHL not the CHL.

There's so much potential for immediate chemistry on this team and yet the coaches are intentionally avoiding those groupings. Baffling.

Maybe don't play Zegras on the 4th line? All he does is set up high quality scoring chances with barely any ice time.

Robertson is buzzing as always.

Jones is the best defenseman thus far.

Drury is still worthless.

Wahlstrom has been trash. Playing selfish hockey.

Might as well have left Caufield home if you're going to saddle him with grinders.

They won't make it past the QF if they don't fix the PK. No structure and no pressure. Whatever coach is running this shouldn't be.

Ya I don't get it /shrug... whatever zegras is showing a lot with the little ice time he is getting... but 1 of kalioyev caufield or wahlstrom should basically be attatched to him.

Zegras didn't help his cause with that lazy penalty.

Also disappointed in Caufield, he loses all his puck battles so far.

Trying to spread your forwards and grind wins is a strategy that should not be used in tournaments like this. But for arguments sake let’s say it’s a decent strategy. Even if that’s the case it is not a strategy that is viable in anyway when you have a weak defense. You need to let your talented skilled forwards off the leash

We've had a lot of bad coaches at this tournament and Sandelin might be the worst of them all.

It feels like they’re bringing a college grind them down with experience mentality. It might work in the NCAA but you’re doing that with 20-23 year olds.

Some of these guys like Turcotte, Zegras, etc. that they’re not using nearly enough might be playing pro hockey next year & you’re willingly burying them for 19 year old try hard types.

I obviously have bias with York but you’re telling me this kid can’t play regular shift with some of the slop we’ve seen out there on the backend? He’s been playing above his age for years now.

Wahlstrom and Caufield are frustrared because they need proper playmakers.
