Lightning forwards have been absolutely snakebitten in 3 straight games (including 3 OT periods). That's the last 12 periods, Tampa forwards have 71 shots on goal and only have Cirelli's OT winner and Gourde's fluke goal off his skate tonight. They've had some looks and just can't bury anything right now.

You think at some point they'd be due to get some goals/favorable bounces, but maybe not.

This guy still doesn't get enough love, for him emerging as Dallas Stars biggest clutch-factor.

The network of global Joel F. Kiviranta Fan club needs to get organised. You don't have to be Stars fan, it is mostly irrelevant thing compared to your deep understanding of the greatness of #25 as individual player.

For those in the GDT who were ragging on Stamkos.

Stamkos played 57 regular season games. Rule is 41+ games OR one SCF game to qualify. If (and this is one HELL of an "if" right now) the Bolts win the big shiny thingy, Stammer would have his name on it automatically.

Stamkos had major core surgery in March, has been rehabbing since then and suffered some recent setbacks. Finally has been back on the ice and tossing some slappers but that's a long way from being in game shape.

Although, considering how absolutely putrid our PP has been...:crossfing
Thank you for the very informative Post. I’d heard something very similar on either the 31 Thoughts or the Sportsnet podcast from Elliotte Friedman recently.

Hopefully the forecast of a Stamkos return is accurate.

Always cheer for players to make a comeback.

They need to just keep shooting. The damn will break.

Not the majority of the shots they took. Those won't work. Hasn't worked against the Stars all season long. These shots are never ever going in. Khudobin lead to league in SV% for a reason. He's very good at saving the shots the defense is willing to give the opponents.

It is a truly great shame Stamkos is not able to play right now. I do not know whether or not there's any chance of him returning during these play-offs but I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
