The league seems to value defensemen like Guhle and Schneider a lot more than the online scouting community does. Hoping in a year or two Schneider will be appreciated by Rangers fans and not be seen as a guy that we shouldn't have picked.

I don’t think anyone is rooting against Schneider for internet clout; but that doesn’t make it a good pick.

If Schneider was a lefty I dont think anyone would have an issue with this pick

but it’s still a very good pick

One thing to keep in mind with someone like Schneider---if you look at the teams that went deep in the playoffs they all had mulitple large mobile defensemen who could battle and hit. Skjei and Staal weren't tough enough to play against. The Rangers wanted a bit more size and edge on their D.
