With Schneider #12 on their list, I can see why they moved up. Especially if they got wind that Devils and CLB were going to take him if he was available.
Zary, Gunler, Bourque, Perrault, Lapierre, Mysak still available.

There is always a market for RHD. They and C are usualy worth more then wingers and LHD, if both Schneider and Lunkvist becomes as good as we hope we can easily trade one of them and get more of the value of the pick back.

You guys are hilarious, and yours prior you complain because the team would pass on the best player available and would draft your need, now they pass on drafting for need and pick what they deam to be the best player available and your complaining. Nobody that they would pick at 19 is going to step in and help them next year. we just drafted a mobile nasty defenseman that nobody's going to want to play against. We needed this team to become harder to play against in the future. a lot of things are going to change with this team before he gets here and plays anyway, there will be room for him if he's good enough

I think that I’ll go ahead and put my faith in Gorton,jd and Drury rather than the naysayers here. This kid and AL are exactly the type of players that they said they wanted after the Carolina series

Rangers trade a 3rd so they can get their BPA and suddenly it's "pick for need!"

I truly love this place at draft time

It's not so much pick for need, I'm just underwhelmed that this was their BPA.

And I think it's representative of bad habits we've had for years. We always try to bring in toughness and grit without developing a system that makes it hard on the other team.
