One period in the books here in the Hammer, 2-1 Team Red leads. Really appreciate the speed and skill of these kids. They are working hard out there.

To me, the following stood out:

Team White:
Perfetti
Greig
Lafreniere

Team Red:
Puutio
Rossi

  • Huge hit by Greig on Sabranga.
  • Cullye is a big boy who’s thrown his weight around.
  • Perfetti with some nice skill on display.
  • Lafreniere is a treat to watch in person. His offside goal was a beauty.
  • Both goalies have made nice saves.
Sitting by the boards for this one. Usually sit up higher but figured I would change it up.

I’ll try to get another update in at 2nd intermission.

4-2 team white after 40.

Forrester with a pair. First was a nice snipe, second a tap in to finish off a well setup passing sequence between his line mates.

I really like the game Greig has had thus far. That line in general has been good (Zary + Forrester).

Weisblatt is a crafty player.

Quiet night thus far from Byfield. Kid makes skating look effortless, very smooth.

Been watching this game while working and suffering with the Kings game (multi-tasking ftw).

Connor Zary seems to be very impressive for Team Red. Agree that Byfield has been underwhelming, particularly with how great he looked last year.

Poirier has an unreal shot from the blueline. The velocity he got without leaning into it or a wind-up was incredible.

Drysdale has also been hot and cold. Good defensive plays, but then gets caught in no-man's land right after.

Appreciate you guys!

Man, Lafreniere would be such a treat to land. Just love that kid's game. Does it all. Need a guy with that sort of drive to get to the front AND that sort of skill to make it matter. We kind of have one or the other lol

Yup, the more I've seen, the more I understand the hype with him.

He had a goal called off due to offsides today. But he just brings it all, including a physical game.

Team white takes it 5-3. Pretty entertaining game overall. It’s tough when you get cobbled together with guys from other leagues and only get a few days of practice in together.

Nice play by Sebrango to break up a prime scoring chance for Forrester.

Cuylle and Sebrango with a good dust up. I should of put money on that one as a little birdie told me they were gonna dance prior to the game.

Drysdale with a pretty steady performance. Nothing flashy, calm in his own end. Seems to read the game well.

Another goal called back that would have been credited to Greig. Also stopped on a break away attempt a few minutes later.

I thought Gould was good between the pipes. Good positionally.

Liked Perfetti. Pretty good night out of him overall. Good vision and skater.

Sabrango got off to a bit of a rocky start but settled in nicely as the game went on.

Gonna preface my observations from this evening, by no means am I a scout so don’t hold me to anything in the future.

Enjoy the evening all.

Looking at Capfriendly it looks like the Devils, Senators, Hurricanes, and Lightning all potentially have two first-round picks;

The Devils have their own and the Coyote's (unless it is a top-3 then it rolls over to a 2021 pick).
Devils = lottery pick, Coyotes = probable non-lottery pick.

The Senators have their own and the Shark's (no longer conditional).
Both are lottery picks.

The Hurricanes have their own and the Leaf's (unless it's a top 10 then it rolls over to a 2021 pick).
Probably one lottery pick and one probable non-lottery pick

The Lightning have their own and the Nucks (Unless the Nuck's miss the playoffs it rolls to a 2021 pick).
Both are probable non-lottery picks.

I like the conditional roll over to 2021 because that is supposed to be a deep draft as well and then it looks like you lose the conditions that applied in 2020.

I hope the Kings can figure out how to get another first-rounder even if it has a condition that rolls over to a 2021 pick.

If the Kings somehow won the 1st or 2nd pick in the lottery and one of these teams offered to trade you both of their first-rounders do you do it ....... or not?
