Kreider is a top line player, Stepan was a top line player, JT Miller is now a top line player, Buchnevich is a top line player.

I know we never picked stars but based on where we've picked when were we supposed to? They whiffed on McIlrath obviously but that was really only the main time in the Clark era that we whiffed on a first rounder. In fact, Kreider and JT Miller in particular were smart picks and both are better than anyone taken relatively closely after them.

All those guys are 2nd liners. Miller became a top line player this year in Vancouver but we’ll see if he can do it again. Either way it doesn’t help us.
