Skjei was good value for where he was taken. Took him 4 years to crack the NHL roster though. I see a similar trajectory for Schneider, maybe 3.5 years

He will be ready for us in 2 or less.
Unclear at that point who our LDs are.

-Trade Strome for a 2nd or 3rd next year
MAX THE RETURN FOR PICKS NEXT YR

-Trade one of Fox/ADA/Trouba/Lundkvist for a center, depending on the quality of the center. I’m the last person who wants any of those RD to go, besides Trouba, but I know that the Rangers are probably going to do that anyways
NO. ADA only for sure, possibly Trouba if we can in the right deal. Fox and Nils L are keepers.

-Sign/trade for LD, but only if it’s a good deal. I’m not willing to overpay for a top LD just yet like I am for a center
To extent we may need a stopgap or 2, let's see who is available, at what cost and where our guys are.
We should have an open eye across the board always, but it is not so much we need a pivot for depth as we want to try to upgrade, and upgrade w/a guy who is affordable incl long term.
Consider:
we have Krav Zib + Chytil to address top 2 pivots.
IF IF IF we did Chytil + Trouba ++ for Seider +, then we likely could use a guy for depth, but let's see how Barron plays in camp. And ef the immediate win now crowd. Build. Get a guy like Dylan Holloway if we can.
