With all the negativity around Andersson, we need to look at what we have.

If Andersson was a hit, and he was a 3C off the bat and maybe developed into a 2C, do we have the same roster at this moment? Do we draft Kravtsov or any of the guys after? Are we rebuilding and get Kakko and Laf? Probably not since they may have gone in a different direction.

Everything happens for a reason. Let's get over it and move on. We got something for a player that was never coming back. Even if this kid has a 10% chance to make it to the NHL, it's 10% higher than Anderson ever playing for the Rangers.

Me too. It’s a shame it didn’t work out here. I’m still pissed about what happened, but I would have been happy if he developed into a middle 6 C over here. Now that he’s on the Kings though, I do wish him well in life, but hope Cuylle becomes better than him

Absolutely thrilled with the return for Anderson. Getting a 2nd rounder for a guy with no future here is fantastic asset management by Gorts. Look, he was a huge problem child and involved in a lot of weird, shady shit. I am glad he's off the team. I am sad he didn't work out. But a 2nd rounder? Hell yeah. Great move.
