If I were another team I'd trade for Strome, qualify him then let arbitration do whatever it does. Then retain and trade him for more than I originally spent on him. It would have to be 2021 picks instead, yet why would that matter that much. Strome even at 5M with 50% retained nets asset(s)

Rangers should consider doing that also, yet it appears they have some sort of overall plan that in total is adding in more cap hits than would be outgoing.

No one is trading for Strome. Once it got out that Rangers weren’t going to qualify him, that was a major hit to whatever value was there.
 
Either the Rangers dont plan on moving Georgiev or they cant get 2nd round value for him.

The goalie value is screwed. Too many guys out there. Musical chairs from hell.

Mysak projects more as a wing I think. But still, it's frustrating when the Rangers don't seem to evaluate prospects the same as the public does.
