Once Baltimore took Queen I just wanted the Chiefs to take whoever was highest on their board, if that’s CEH, so be it. Not a huge fan of taking RB in the first round. But he can catch the ball out of the backfield and will add yet another wrinkle to the offense. If they can get Bryce Hall in round 2, I’ll be pleased.

I agree with everything here, except I'd rather see them draft Robinson II today.

I mean it worked for them once. It's just hilarious the symmetry of the thing. Favre was pissy when they used a pick on Rodgers instead of a win-now player to help HIM out. Now Rodgers gets to feel Favre's annoyance.

I just think you have so few years left with Rodgers playing at an elite level, you need to go for it while he's still great. But I understand why they do what they did.

Why is the guy standing in the middle wearing Navy Anti-Flash gear?

Might as well get ready, rather now than down the road.

Groom him up and get him set to take over for Rodgers.

I would have preferred help for him, like someone we can use this season. I hate to admit it, but he isnt getting any younger and our window is getting smaller by the year.

I just hope we don't end up with a Favre all over again.

Honestly the NFL draft is very weird for me. How can a guy like Jonathan Taylor slip to the 2nd round?

He plays almost like Saquon Barkley who went 2nd overall. He has the perfect size for the position, his production is insane and he also has insane speed.

I simply don't get it.

Obviously Rodgers is better, but the Packers are not a great team, and Rodgers himself is nowhere what he was even a few years ago.

They are better team then that Chicago fluke team

Seriously Blache (DC) never had a D outside of that team that wasn't in bottom 3rd of league.. That year they were ranked best in scoring

It was complete fluke in every way

Again though, when you're 13-3, your approach isn't that you're not a contending team. You might be wrong in some evaluations, but you're not sitting there thinking you're really 9-7. Rodgers could get back there if he ever had more than one receiver at a time and a terrible offensive line. The focus should always be on how to get to the Super Bowl. And QB's don't like when their replacement is brought in.

I'm also Wisco fan. I really like Taylor, he won't last long in day Day 2.

But I'm also a Chiefs fan, I feel like CEH fits the system better than Taylor would.

It's nothing on CEH. It's just an observation. RB are all over the place. I understand that usually they are close to worthless and replacable when they get to their 2nd contract but the running back in this class are very good and somehow almost completely ignored from the 1st round.

he doesn't catch the ball as much as Saquon

he already has a ton of carries on him ( 8th most in big 10 history in only 3 yrs)

Wisconsin backs always put up huge #'s in college, due to the system and getting a million carries

The only good point is #1.
The rest are just gospel.

Teams have finally gotten smarter and understood that taking RBs high most of the time is just not worth it at all..
Taylor is not special enough and did not have a good enough team fit (like CEH with Kansas and even that is a bit of a questionable pick)..

He will go in the early-mid 2nd most likely and IMO that is still too high. Not because he won't be a stud but simply because RBs simply are not worth high draft picks in 90 % of the cases...

Backs just aren't as valuable as they used to be. If this were 10-15 years ago, he probably would have been a high 1st round pick. But still, if a team falls in love with you, you can still go pretty high in the draft. I guess Taylor just didn't have any team do that. Wisconsin backs are also a mixed bag even though they seem to churn out really productive backs once every 2-3 years behind their top 5-10 gigantic OLs, so it's hard to get a read on just how good their backs might be.

My favorite picks
#5 - Tua Tagovailoa - even though I wanted him on the Chargers the fact that Miami didn't talk themselves out of the guy they tanked for in the first place is good.

#13 - Tristan Wirfs - to me he was the second best tackle after Thomas. Only having to move up one spot is great value.

#17 - Ceedee Lamb - Dallas now has a top 5 (possibly top 3) receiving corps in the NFL. The fact that they took him away from Philly makes it even better.

#25 - Brandon Aiyuk - personally would've taken Juedy or CeeDee at 14 but Aiyuk in that offense is a great fit. I liked him as WR 4 in the draft.

#28 - Patrick Queen - Best LB in the draft after Simmons to me. Getting him at 28 after Murray and Brooks had already gone is a steal.
