Hyperbole is a legitimate narrative device. The point is that a lot of the analytics posters completely ignore context and selection effects.
We probably don't have a fit for him, but Athanasiou would be a solid signing. Big guy who skates like the wind and has some skill.
We've got like 10 forwards who are good defensively. We need skill in the worst way. I just don't know where he would fit. I think he would be great next to Danault, but that would mean a guy like Byron needs to get traded.I’ve always liked him but he’s another that gives zero effort defensively. Not sure the organization will want him.

Playing for one of the worst teams in the cap era.I mean we are talking about a guy that was -46.
There are three questions here
-Would any of these goalies want to sign here and be a backup to Price?
-Would the goalies that would sign here be better than Allen?
-Would we be able to sign said goalie to a cheaper deal than Allen?
I personally would have waited for Free Agency to sign a goalie but those are the questions I think that surround the matter.
Only in Montreal. Always behind the 8 ballGaston Therrien on why we should extend Danault:
“He’s un québécois, and he can speak to the public after the game”.....end quote
it wasn’t talent, it wasn’t faceoffs, it was about language again......
I wonder if the team was very successful with a bright future, would people really care whether our coach and players spoke french?!Only in Montreal. Always behind the 8 ball
Can’t get the best coach available now we gotta sign players that are québécois to satisfy the the people in Quebec who don’t give a rats ass about the Habs but will use it as a political excuse

Wasn't it pretty much stated at the deadline by the guy himself that Kovalchuk would be coming back during the off season? He may very well be our only pick up, I sure don't expect anything more significant. All this trade talk and bergevin will sign Kovalchuk and Thompson
whats that even mean@renlavoietva
It will be an interesting draft day next week in the NHL. We now know the @CanadiensMTL headquarters will be inside the team locker room, and the adjacent offices at the Bell Centre.
