Alright Karens, a physical player gave out a nasty hit in a playoff series.
Settle down with the dramatic reactions.
Pretty sure that's Kadri's first physical play in the last 20 games.

Well considering Nugent-Hopkins isn't a centre anymore, by default the answer would be Danault.Soooo how about that new 2C. Danault Vs RNH who do you go after?

They could flip Kadri for futures and sign Danault.I wouldn’t get too hyped up about Kadri being exiled, even after this. I think he’ll be back next year. The year after that, probably not.
Unless they actually flip Naz for another center I just don’t see it happening.
Exposing Kadri would be poor asset management. Top 6 C's (even those that don't fit the Avs system that well) are much more valuable than 3rd line wingers and 3rd pairing Dmen.I'm all for exposing Kadri to Seattle now.
What do you think it would take to land Reinhart? I could see Sakic kicking tyres on him, and Buffalo might get the best possible value by trading him to a team like Colorado where he'd presumably be open to a long-term extension.Would love to trade for Reinhart, he would be a perfect fit. Trade Kadri to recoup some assets.
Reinhart either becomes a permanent fixture as our #2C and Newhook transitions as a winger, or if Newhook flawlessly transitions into our #2C Reinhart is still a great winger.
Yep, Danault would be the perfect solution.Well considering Nugent-Hopkins isn't a centre anymore, by default the answer would be Danault.
Not contractually.Yep, Danault would be the perfect solution.
More than two years. What do you envisage he gets in UFA?

Seattle won't have many top 6 C's to choose from in expansion so perhaps Sakic could explore trading Kadri to them in exchange for futures/assets that can then be flipped to Buffalo for Reinhart. Something like Kaut + 2021 COL 1st + "Kadri return" should get pretty close in theory. It would cost a pretty penny. I don't know if it would get it done, but I'd guess something along the lines of Helleson + Kaut/1st + 3rd would be the base. After that, it would depend if Buffalo sees any value in Francouz or Compher. If Sakic really likes Reinhart, maybe swap Barron or Timmins for Helleson.
Kadri already blocked a trade to Calgary once, and that was when they were a playoff team. Doubt he has much interest in going there now that theyre not even a playoff team.Swap Kadri for Monahan 2M retained? Give 'em a sweetener for the extra year.
Flames are going to make some big changes..I could see them being interested in an Eichel + Kadri combo at center next year.

We arent the team that signed the NMC and it was before the rule change that it would carry over to the new team.Kadri already blocked a trade to Calgary once, and that was when they were a playoff team. Doubt he has much interest in going there now that theyre not even a playoff team.

Kadri was ‘very close’ to accepting off-season trade to Flames | Calgary SunKadri already blocked a trade to Calgary once, and that was when they were a playoff team. Doubt he has much interest in going there now that theyre not even a playoff team.
The 28-year-old centre squashed a summer swap to Calgary — one of the no-go destinations on his partial no-trade clause — but admitted prior to his regular-season debut with the Colorado Avalanche that he seriously considered green-lighting the move.
“Yeah, I did, I came very close,” Kadri said before facing the Flames in the Mile High City. “I just didn’t really get the impression that I was being shopped around (by the Maple Leafs) and my initial feeling was to stay in Toronto, and that’s kind of why that whole situation panned out the way it did. It was nothing against Calgary. I obviously love that city and I love going there as a visiting team, but I just had aspirations of staying put.
“That’s the truth. It’s genuine. It was nothing against the organization. That all being said, I still almost came to the decision of actually going there, so it was tempting.”
Let's just time travel back to the 2015 draft and let Sakic know that he should just draft Rantanen, Aho, Cirelli and Kaprizov in rounds 1-4. Problems solved.
Pfft, Sakic should've known 2015 was the best draft since 2003. Should've traded the entire team outside of Landy + Mack to stock up on picks.
How does Danault skate
I thought he was on the slower side would he be a good fit here
