I'm just not feeling Clague. But I guess he's getting experience and hoping he improves. Just one of those long seasons again. Just have to ride this brutal wave. Can't have all these young players up so we must endure the pain of seeing slugs like Alt, Maatta, etc...These rebuilding years are never easy. Sheesh.

He only has 10 games played in the NHL. I'm on the fence about him long term too, but ten games on this f***ing team? He gets the benefit of the doubt for the whole season.
Guy is only 22, still some time to develop. Roy for example probably did not come into his own until age 24..I'm just not feeling Clague. But I guess he's getting experience and hoping he improves. I think Clague still has lots of upside and still possibly slide into that 4 role.
I'm really rooting for Clague but he had (3) really nice, perfect tape-to-tape passes out of his zone.... to the other team, that led to not only a good scoring chance for them but then hemmed The Kings in their zone the entire shift.
These are growing pains but the 1st pass shouldn't be such an issue. Seems like it was the entire team tonight though.

Yeah that's true this team is so bad everyone looks like sh** anyways. Guess the kid just needs to work on opposition assists.
I mean don't get me wrong, Clague wasn't good tonight either. But like, who do you blame? Where do you start? There were just fundamental breakdowns up and down the ice. There were no takeaways from tonight's game, just throw it away and move on to the next game.
Tonight summed up in a gif
Terrific performance from Cal Petersen, who once again is putting Quick to shame statistically. Time to start the transition. Terrible team effort, the vet forwards were a complete non-factor, the two goals against early where both mistakes by MacDermid-Clague pairing. These fights to start the game lately is a waste and has started the game off with defensive pairing issues. This loss had nothing to do with Alt and Maatta, they were serviceable. Congrats to Kaliyev on the goal. Doughty has played very well the last 4 games or so, unfortunately the team isn't following.
