So apparently the Ducks haven’t won a game in regulation at home in 23 games. How nice of the Kings! f***ing pushovers.

We may have flew right by that and looking upwards at the bottom. All kidding aside wherever we are we can't get any lower. Buffalo is not the worst franchise. I think we may be fighting for that title.

These last few game are just a blip as far as I'm concerned. We 've seen how good they can be when things go right. And we've seen had bad they can go if they don't. We're no where near as bad as the Sabers or others, like the Ducks. This was the first game of the year the Ducks scored more than 4 goals, and the first win in 23 tries in regulation. Thats a bad team. Jesus Gibson can't save them , and he's been their guy for 10 years. A team considered the worst franchise wouldn't be in a playoff hunt with 12 games remaining.

Now literally on pace for worse finish by points % than last season, and only a point better than the previous.

I have zero faith at this point, and watching Byfield get benched for most of the 3rd only reinforces it.

He played 12 second less than Kopitar. I'm not sure that's being benched, I think it was being less noticible, which he was. He was out there for one of the goals late in the 3rd , and the last shift too.

I doubt it will happen but if I’m owner/Governor of this sad team, I’d put everyone including management on notice for these last set of games.

I do not see the consistency (win here and bad loss next), accountability, development, identity being developed. This is a good ol’ boys organization that is just spinning it’s wheels.

Yeah, the last time to care was back when they had 6 of their next 10 against SJ. That they then went 1-5 against SJ, you just can't care more than the players do as the season gets closer to conclusion. That's really the most important thing. Why would I care more about today's game than the players do? Why? Had they gone 5-1 against SJ, or even 4-2, with everything else being the same, they're at least in the conversation today. But, 1-5, so.

Results late in a year for bad teams rarely indicate anything, one way or another. Remember when the Kings looked at least sort of decent winning those games before the shutdown? Exactly.

The next meaningful game is game 1 next year, and then you adapt to how they do. If they don't care, I don't care. Then we can talk about Mike Richards more.

I'm actually surprised we're this bad.

Is the roster really THIS bad?

I think they are checked out more than anything, this isn't a good team, but I don't think they are as bad as they've looked on some nights.

Gonna get absolutely wrecked by the Avs, who still have something to play for being chased by Minnesota and chasing Vegas. Probably gonna lose to Arizona too, they have a punchers chance trailing St. Louis by just 3.

I hope they lose out. Helps the draft and would accelerate heads rolling.

Blake and Robitaille are a major concern. I don’t dislike either, but I’m VERY worried about this whole “alumni management” approach. I don’t feel positive about the future of this team but I’ll wait to see what happens in the next 18 months before totally judging. The tough choices and work starts soon.

We have become the Oilers, without the lottery luck. We even went so far as to hire the retread coach they just fired

Our system would propel McDavid to a 20 goal scorer if he was here. Byfield probably wants to go back to the OHL next year to play with more talent.

That too, but I posted that because I had noticed it at near the same time the Mayor posted he only had two shifts in the 3rd. he took a few more at the end, but at the time of posting, he had barely played, with the shift he took being the one he got booted from the faceoff for whatever reason.

Also as an aside i f***ing hated Cal's body language all night, kept throwing his head up, acting defeated even when it was close

Appreciate him in general but tonight was a stinker and he was feeding it with his bullshit emotion

I didn't really watch the game. Had in on in the corner of my room but didn't pay much attention. Everytime I looked it seemed like the Ducks scored another goal.

Body language of the whole team looked pretty bad. Morale is low.

Kopitar had 14:37 in ice time. Is that right? Did something happen?

This shitshow is as bad as it’s been for a really long time. I don’t mind so much getting beaten by clearly better teams with more talent but I can’t accept teams that just quit. If this is what the last few games has for us then just bring up the kids and give them a quick look at what the NHL is about and call it a day. Pathetic.

"Let’s face it, we’re not going to make the playoffs, I might as well say it right now, we’re not going to make the playoffs. I just don’t see how that’s going to happen, and we have to get over the fact that that’s happened."

Could of been said 2 months ago.
