Kopitars contract ends in 2024. Only three years from now which isn't too long for any team looking for a top 6 center to make a cup run.

But you're still not getting a relatively young top 2-4 d-man on a good contract for him.

The vets seem to have no interest in showing the young guys the right way and I hope Blake has the balls to trade away as many of them as possible.

The Kings have some good parts. They will be better with a full allotment of players for sure. They can't compensate for other players who are just going through the motions though. I absolutely love the potential long term. I just don't see them winning too many games when only a fraction of the team is playing up to their potential and that fraction doesn't include some of their highest paid players.
