Sure, and I don't think Cuylle is a good prospect. We certainly weren't about to draft Sokolov, a Russian winger, who went at 61. You could make an argument for Gage Goncalves I suppose. The next forward drafted after Goncalves was Simontaival at 66, then you have to wait all the way until 74 and 75 to get to Smilanic and Foudy. So if you really wanted to take another forward, then between 60 (Cuylle) and 66 (Simontaival), the Kings could have taken Sokolov and Goncalves, and between Simontaival (66) and Laferriere (83), the Kings could have taken Smilanic, Foudy, Gushchin, or Slaggert. Alternatively, the Kings could have taken one of the defensemen or goalies I listed. I'm not saying that trading for Andersson was terrible, but at the time I was surprised when there were still a number of quality defense and (more specifically) goalie prospects available. Our goalie pipeline would be better with Daws or Clang in it.
