Any interest in Dougie Hamilton as a UFA? He's not as young as we'd prefer, but he's a hell of a player. The Athletic projects him to land somewhere between Pietrangelo and Krug's deals. 7 x $7.25M?

Respectfully disagree, I think creating arguably the best dcore in the NHL is worth it and amplifies what the forwards can do.

I never really thought much of Hamilton, but looking at his stats I never realized how much of threat he is from the blueline. And he's never been a bad +/- player. If he doesn't resign in Carolina, I'd be open to it

I was just reliving that in another thread. Pained me when I remembered that we had Anton Stralman on a PTO in training camp but Lou opted not to sign him.

I’m thinking this might mean there’s a chance of Kupari and Luff in over Amadio and Wagner next game.

To get taken out of the lineup, Amadio would have to turn around and snipe one into our own net, look McLellan dead in the eyes and say "yeah I f***ing did that on purpose", and spear him right in the chest...and even then TM wouldn't pull him until Mike said "Michael Amadio SUCKS" because that would be a step too far even for Michael Amadio.

But let's be real the puck wouldn't go in anyway so the whole hypothetical is moot

He is going to be a liability on whatever line he is put on. In close games in the 3rd period he is not even going to be able to be put on the ice, limiting the Kings depth.

That's rough, Stralman would've been a great pickup. I remember Harrold being solid in that series; I think he might've just been a bit outmatched strength-wise given the Kings' size upfront. It definitely wasn't for a lack of effort or compete on his part.

It's true, Carter should be the best 3rd-4th line forward in the league and not the most mediocre 2nd line forward.

Martin Frk isn't a world beater, but if he was healthy that would push Carter to the 3rd where he would get more suitable assignments. Bummer he's still out.

Yup loved watching Tank/JAD/Moore line. Reminded me of the Donnelly/Millen/Granato line Not offensively of course but just small guys working there but off.

was thinking it maybe time to put carter back at center so we can have Kopitar-Vilardi-Carter-Lizzotte down the middle. sit Amadio and then put in Luff.
